What players comps do you have for the players on the 2006 lakers squad besides Kobe since I don’t think there’s anyone who is close to Kobe especially in 06. I was thinking of Scottie Barnes for Lamar Odom and that’s pretty much it, idk who the modern day smush Parker or kwame brown would be. I guess kwame could be wiseman tbh. Also who would Cook, Walton and Vujacic be

If Kobe never had to go through the Colorado Case and the media didn’t sour on him, how many MVPs do you think he would have won? Imo he would have 2-3 MVPS. Obviously he would still win in 2008, but I also think he had a really strong case in 2006, 2009 and 2010 and would have definitely ended up with more than 1 MVP

Compared to the other best 3 players of each decade, will Jokic/Giannis/Embiid fall short in terms of how long they will have been dominant for? I get that they’ve collectively won the past 5 MVPs but they’ve only won 2 championships combined and while they are at their peaks I don’t see them having very long primes and I think they’ll be done being dominant, number 1 options on a title team by around 2027 which means they would have been good from 2019-2027 which isn’t that long compared to others. For example, the top 3 players of the 2010s are Lebron, KD, and Curry and all 3 of them are in their mid thirties still playing at an MVP level and could be the top 3 from 2011-2023. For the 2000s, from 1999-2010, Shaq, Kobe, and Duncan were the top 3 players of that era and their time was much longer. So that begs the question, are Jokic/Giannis/Embiid gonna even be the top 3 of the 2020s, and if not who?

Do you think Brunson can be the #2 on a championship team. Imo he could be the #2 on a team like the Heat and they could win but in order for him to really take the next step he needs to improve his Playmaking. I don’t think his vision is tht bad he is just focused more on scoring

This is a pure hypothetical but I thought it would be interesting. Replace Jamal Murray with 2001 Kobe and have Kobe be on the Nuggets for the next 3-4 years and then they split up. In that time, would you give the Nuggets the chance to 3-peat or win back to back? Imo I think Jokic is close to Shaq in terms of comparing him to a big and how good they were in their respective league when they played and I think Kobe would be an upgrade over Murray especially on defense.

If u can choose between giannid or Jokic to play with curry on this year or the 2022 team. I really like both of them with Steph, giannis because he’s dominant inside and is great on defense but Jokic and curry would be 2 of the greatest offensive players ever and I think they would be a better duo than Shaq and Kobe and could potentially threepeat. I think either of these players with Steph would win multiple rings but idk who would be better. What do you guys think?

If KD never joins the 73-9 warriors, and instead joins another semi contender like the Celtics or wizards, do you see the warriors winning another ring besides 2022? I could see them maybe making it in 2017 if Kawhi doesn’t get injured, 2018 I think they’ll lose to the rockets and 2019 they might get to the finals but lose to the raptors. Assuming both Curry and Klay are healthy for the 2020 and 2021 nba seasons, do they have a chance to go the Finals and win it all? I can see it in 2020 but 2021 against the bucks would be tough.

If Gary Harris never got injured and he remained with the Nuggets for the last couple years, how much better would the nuggets be and would it drastically change anything for the nuggets? I really liked Harris in Denver before he got injured, I thought he was a young up and coming star who had some serious 2-way potential.

I started watching the game around 2013 and it was semi casually so I didn’t know much about the better role players in the league, besides the ones on championship teams like Ariza, Battier, Danny Green. But who were other elite role players that were or could have been starters on championship teams?

Imagine in this hypothetical that Lebron doesn’t exist and by 2014 KD is a young GOAT. In this scenario, Melo goes to Miami instead of Lebron, do you think they win any titles? I was talking to a friend about this and I think they would be lucky to get one in 2011 but it would be tough for them to even beat the bulls. After that I think they don’t get out of the East and even if they do, the Thunder and Spurs would beat them.
