Hope those patents weren't created while working in a similar industry without their knowledge. But, good luck either way.

[–] NewOCLibraryReddit@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Definitely. But didn't work. I have a tool that pays people to open up the emails, but I dont know if people would use it.

Congratulations. If I understand what you wrote -- you created postage. People have known this for some time -- 'spam' was a nuisance long before the popular modern internet -- and there are nuances to making it work you haven't mentioned.

The only place I know this to be a working solution is corporate nets. Where it curtails the tendency for cover-your-ass rampant CC inclusions.

This is so old I no longer own the books and dead-tree magazines it was written in. It was a popular proposal in the 1990's.

You want more benefits for this to be any commercial product sold to a general public. Ideally, the way to get a prototype up-and-running is to start an online community -- just like Reddit -- then work out the nuances I mentioned but won't tell you about.

Included in that process would have to be, oh I dunno, becoming a better marketer by one order of magnitude or thereabouts. And perhaps only one hundred times better at eighth-grade homework skill, which then qualifies you to begin research.

Those who will not learn from history are doomed. Something any reasonably bright eighth grader -- or the slower ones in summer school -- could have told you about.

I have considered the potential for wider acceptance of a modernized reimagining of postage. And I can think of a hundred interesting experiments to prove out in a working prototype. A genuine pity you do not seem to be the one to execute on this -- at all.

Postage Due — for your corporate e-mail as always, potential without any interesting actuality. This needs to be thoroughly rethought to have appeal for the 'free internet' folk. Despite some smart people at America Online, Compuserve and others -- there seems to be a serious cognitive impasse at work.

Will Cyber fashion trend expand? (DISCUSSION) While it is an unrelated topic, do you see an interesting form of discussion going on? Nope. Boring. Please do mention how many Reddit folk you bored into using this thing.

Thank you for this. You have given me quite a few ideas. Some I have already began on, such as attempting to start a reddit-like community on the platform

I have a prototype but it sucks So I will continue working on it!

Thank you again. I did look at one of your links and will look at the other.

I created a tool that eliminates spam emails completely. Where to go from here?

I have built a tool that eliminates spam emails. It uses a pretty simple process.

    1. Checks your emails address for payments to it.
    1. Get the receipts.
    1. Check for emails with the payment receipt included
    1. Send those emails to your First Class Gmail Inbox instead of the traditional inbox.

What should I do now? I would like to pitch investors and other companies to adopt the tech. But, where should I go in your opinion?

interesting concept, but seems like it could easily be abused by spammers and scammers. also, not sure if people would be willing to pay to reach someone's inbox. maybe there's a way to address those concerns.

Thank you. Will create a FAQ

that’s a neat idea. like putting a gate on your email.

Yes, exactly! More specifically, putting a gate on your new first class inbox.

wondering, though, how you’d make sure you don’t miss important free emails.

Great question. Well, the sender has two options, keep sending the emails as they did before, or upgrade and send the message with first class. The sender nor receiver needs to do anything different if they want to send important "free" emails. They will still go to the users regular inbox as before. However, if the sender wants to make sure the receiver gets the email, they can upgrade the mail to first class.

also, how much would people pay?

not much. maybe less than $0.00. But not free.

it’s gotta stop spam without turning away real messages.

Exactly.

integrating this with regular emails, how’s that work?

Have Gmail almost up and running. There is going to be a First Class folder for the special emails.

Making a new tool that adds a higher level inbox to your current email 'inbox'.

This new inbox requires senders to pay a very small fee to you in order to reach your inbox, similar to first class mail.

If they don't pay, it doesn't reach your new inbox.

Here is the basic idea video demo: https://youtu.be/9ytHdcrio3o?si=NuQxj2MsZ7VxYqqb

Looking for feedback.

So instead of just sending someone email, I would need to go to some random awkward looking website, type in their email to that website (with no idea what this website is going to do with all these email addresses it collects), and then I can send an email, which the receiver then needs to access via Google Sheets.

You can send someone a regular email if you want. This way is to have a priority inbox, to make sure the email is received.

The steps are becoming less awkward as I keep building. The latest iteration has less steps than in the video.

And I totally agree that the website seems awkward.

I appreciate your feedback.

I use my tool to save and timestamp some reddit posts about certain topics. It's save in multiple countries, on multiple computers. That way, if reddit decides to remove my content, it will be saved, and timestamped.

I am not the networking master. I am the creative and salesman. I would like to find a VC with the network and the marketing skills to take my project to the next level. I am currently cold emailing and cold contacting VC's, with no results.

How did you get funded eventually?

[–] NewOCLibraryReddit@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Bitcoin was for anonymity why would anyone want to have their phone number as their address?

Pseudonymous, yes. Not anonymous. Without getting into the deets, you have the choice of using your phone number or name or anything you want as your address.

[–] NewOCLibraryReddit@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

In case this is not a joke, please consider hiring someone to help you with the website UI.

I agree. I want to hire someone to do the UI. I am also seeking funding. I appreciate your feedback.

I have no idea how to even operate this thing.

I appreciate this. How far did you get in the process?

There are six different buttons on the over the fold area alone, most of which look completely different for no reason.

Wow. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I definitely will address this.

Scrolling down is even more confusing. What even is all this?

Great question. It is data. here is a video explaining it

#NewWorldAddress

#Here is a demo (patent pending)

#Put in your phone number in the red box

  • put in your bitcoin address at the bottom section

#Now, just give people your phone number, and they can send you bitcoin without worrying about the address.

One problem most bitcoin wallets have are bitcoin addresses themselves. Making sure you have the right address, etc.

During your research, do your desired customers search for your product by "cologne" "fragrance" "scent" or what? Also, would you be interested in listing your product on a new platform?

If I am the only one who knows where my data is, and the only one who can decrypt the data, I'll consider that self hosted.

I created a tool to host data for individuals on a blockchain. Is this considered "self hosting"?

Send coin to other redditors usernames. No signing up, no registration, no downloads. If you want to reward a redditor, just send coin to their New World Address.

Here it is in action

I have been wanting to help people who have been kicked off gig apps for no good reason. So, I decided to make an alternative for doordash, uber eats, etc. It is a last resort for people who need to find people to deliver for.

So, what are your thoughts on this option?
