I can almost guarantee a lot of locations wouldn't even need to do that. The owner would just have to not take a bonus. God forbid that though.

Been seeing them pop up more often for the past couple years. Granted I live in Cali.
They couldn't kill Firefox without having the US government come down on them for monopoly. Which the government is already looking at https://www.cnn.com/2023/01/24/tech/doj-google-lawsuit/index.html , so it's not likely Google will risk it even further by shitting down funding to Firefox. Pretty sure they'll point at Firefox to claim they're not a monopoly.
We have em in the US too. They're called HOA's. Most get a bad wrap for being ran by shitty people/busybodies with nothing to do but fine other homeowners. All condos have em here.
The problem, in the US, with the picture is that a condo would cost you pretty much the same as a house with a yard so why opt for the condo at all. If they were cheaper I would own one to live in now VS just trying to save to buy a house since they're all expensive.
The problem with all these 'pc gaming is more expensive than console' comments is that they're always talking about the latest most expensive pc when a lower end one could easily match the latest console generation at a fraction of the price. Nobody really needs a 30k ti series graphics card Unless you're doing vr or some intensive work. My 1066 that cost me under 200 bucks is plenty to play pretty much all games at a reasonable quality.
I'm not saying this as a console hater. I'm saying this as someone who owns both and has always owned both. I'm not even loyal to any particular pc or console manufacturer. I just buy whatever fits me the best at that particular time.
