She is a decade older than I am, and he looks older than me. And that's AFTER having plastic surgery. Oof.

I remember when I served and thought 9-month deployments were too long. That included port visits.
9 months out without ever seeing land is cruel and unusual punishment. Especially in the heat of the Gulf.

I knew all those space photos were fake! You can see the strings holding them up!
For real though, its crazy how we can get messages and pictures back from SUCH a far away distance. Fuck yeah science!
Why comment something like this when you can literally see how many subs there are on this community (85.8k by the way)?
Do you do this often? Show your idiocy, I mean...
I've made a couple of posts here and there to get some answers on how to do certain things, as I'm really new to this whole self-hosting thing. But after some time my thread gets auto-deleted, often before I can even get a solid answer to my question.
So, if /c/SelfHosted isn't where I should post beginner questions for the community to help me, where should I post? The sidebar provides no link to something like that.
The only reason I prefer Freedom Units is because that's what I've grown up with and know. If I had grown up using metric, I would choose that all day. It just makes more sense, there's no random "12 inches to a foot" or "16 tablespoons to a cup" (I had to look this one up).
Metric is easy. A decameter is 10 meters. There are 10 decimeters in a meter. Each step up or down is 10 of the previous.

Your first point is correct. There are weather decks along the sides and aft of the ship, underneath the flight deck, where crew can be outside.
But these sailors aren't working 24/7 non-stop. Individuals have downtime to sleep, eat (obviously), and generally hang around playing video games, watching movies, reading, etc (this one is not so obvious). They would've had to bring an that stuff onboard before they left.
Regardless, that's like being stuck in your house for 9 months without ever touching grass. It's just not sustainable psychologically.
