Leica pricing is mostly due to the fact they are produced in Germany and are paying their labourers German wages. They try to portray themselves as super high-end top-of-the-line quality product you should aspire towards, but the closer you start looking into it the sooner you realize it's posturing.

Large portion of Leica products are outperformed by Japanese brands who can do it for 1/10 of the costs in better optical quality while being packed with additional features.

Not saying their products are bad, they are just horribly cost-inefficient.

"Creamy bokeh" is my pet peeve. I am convinced majority of people wouldn't actually be able to describe what it specifically means.

In my book, this kind of question indicates they are unhappy with the delivery and if they are a paying customer, they are absolutely entitled to do that.

Usually there is a reason for that. Most frequently the pricing if we are being general.

Have fun shooting a wedding without some kind of semi-auto mode.

I have the 75. The pro versions are exceptional, especially considered the price.

Shutter lifespan is like an expiration date for food. It doesn't mean it will go bad, just don't complain after it does. It's a guaranteed minimum and often times can go well over it.

Not more than 1k usually. I am not really able to appreciate top-of-the-line inhouse movements, so I shop by finish and design. When it comes to case or dial quality, I feel like even some 300 $ watches can compete with 5 figure ones.
