  • Consistent profile aesthetic
  • keeping the original aspect ratio of the image
  • inserting images with different aspect ratios in the same carousel post.

No big secret there.

I dont understand these threads. Don’t wanna come off harsh, but either try harder and develop the skillset or quit. It’s not compulsory to shoot.

The thing is, it might be annoying for you, but in reality the medium they want the pictures for is instagram and you failed to deliver for that medium… you wouldn’t hand over a couple of portrait pics for a billboard ad. They are doing the cropping work and you are annoyed because they are not doing a good job. But it’s actually your job.

And I know it sounds a bit harsh, but I’ve been there and this change of mindset is important. Ask what the medium is and deliver for that.

I have a patreon tier like this so I kinda feel the other side. I put in a great deal of effort to write down the process of editing or developing, used gear, location, models, lighting etc.

I used to answer questions like these, but I do try to point people towards my patreon nowadays. Sure, happy to have a discussion, but honestly if you don’t value my insight to “buy me a coffee”, than go fuck yourself, I am not chatgpt.

Location and model questions are more annoying… its a lot of effort to scout them out. If someone wants to learn, happy to help, but to copy? Pay first. That was my rant :D

Kinda have to agree… and not only because I am doing the same thing.

Wedding might be different, but I am surprised that so much of y’all let the client choose.

A good photographer is not good because they can press that button very well. They need to compose themselves, light the scene, pose the model, etc… a strong sense for selecting the right images is also part of that skillset that makes someone a pro. So I present this as part of my service and a neccesity if someone wants the quality they have seen from me.

If someone insists, there is place for negotiation, but thats a different story.

Y’all acting like you are making a living from selling landscapes… in reality that a handful of people

I say this every time this comes up. Art > else

Tbh, I am pretty much satisfied with google chrome. Some automatization wouldnt be bad. Like automatically delete files after 30days. Or send a reminder to client to download them within a week or so… but I didnt really thought about that before you asked.

I have barely murdered any models lately! Absolutely professional here

Not sure what else you want if you already have reference from your friends.
