This is Luka’s worst half of basketball of his career.
imcryptic
I think he's gonna be great too but I also understand why they got shit for it. They already had a logjam at the guard position and desperately needed spacing which Black doesn't really bring. Orlando has a bottom 5 offense from an efficiency standpoint and are bottom 5 in 3pt percentage and attempts.
Scouts are terrified of taking older players in the lottery. Jalen was a third year guy and small and people didn’t trust his game would translate or that he would be able to elevate further considering his extended time in college.
Teams seem to be coming around on that though and are more willing to take multi-year college prospects in the first round than they used to be.
Rick Carlisle led the 2014 Mavericks to 7 games against the eventual champion Spurs in the first round. A team that went on to beat the Heatles 4-1.
With a starting lineup that included 35 year old Shawn Marion a year away from retirement, Jose Calderon and Samuel Dalembert. Oh and 37 year old Vince Carter was our 6th man. That was a coaching masterclass between Rick and Pop.
Honestly every team that Dallas made the playoffs with post 2011 was a miracle strike by Rick. Those teams were dogshit.
He literally played half a season with Jason Kidd. He was great when healthy under Carlisle.
he was roasting devin harris the whole broadcast for not passing too lol
