His receivers have had a few drive killing drops of passes they should be securing, McLaurin and Dotson did it back to back in the Giants game iirc. Some horrendous use of challenge calls and time outs by Rivera doesn't help either.
It's not a huge stretch to see them as a 6-4 team and in the conversation for playoffs (if they'd beaten the Phillies at least one of the games).
The run of games after NYG will be a solid measure of where Howell is at: Cowboys, Fins, Rams, Jets and Niners.
