U.S. Senate Democrats have succeeded in eliminating more than a dozen policy changes from Republicans’ “big, beautiful bill” after successfully arguing before the chamber’s parliamentarian that the elements didn’t comply with the strict rules that go along with writing a budget reconciliation bill.

Removed is language that would have transferred some of the cost of running the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program to state governments, potentially leaving states on the hook for billions in added spending on the food aid program for lower-income people.

Democratic state attorneys general vowed Monday on Capitol Hill to continue legal challenges against President Donald Trump’s “outrageous overreach” through executive orders to strip birthright citizenship, impose staggering global tariffs, thwart lifesaving medical research and more.

The Trump Administration moved Monday to join a legal fight to overturn a new Washington law requiring religious leaders to report child abuse or neglect even when it is disclosed in confession.

A Boise, Idaho “Heterosexual Awesomeness” festival drew paltry attendance last Saturday, attracting only “dozens” of attendees despite its promises of “live music, food trucks, kid-friendly chaos, and hard-hitting talks.” At one point during the festival, a minor incident occurred after a pro-LGBTQ+ singer snuck onstage to perform a song about a transgender boy.

Game cards seem like a tone-deaf attempt to appeal to those who just want a physical copy.

Most of the third-party titles are yesterday’s games, as already mentioned, and the newer ones are still in development. Meaning, Nintendo’s games are pretty much doing all the heavy lifting. And given the price versus buying power ratio for some games, the launch comes off as a bit mid, to say the least.

Hopefully things will improve in the future.

While Common Dreams is a very good outlet, the choice to display Warren with that headline was not the wisest of moves.

That’s nice of you to throw Tether under the bus, I didn’t trust it either, but I was referring to Terra. I can understand the confusion, though. They both use the same “T” suffix for their stable coins.

As someone who once bet on crypto after barely scraping by the 2008 crash and even got into it during 2021 bubble (for the most wildest of reasons), I can confidentially tell you that she isn’t. I've witnessed one of the most infamous stable coins, Terra’s UST, crash harder than the Japanese Yen.
