On one hand, more power to the people. On the other hand, ChatGPT is being operated by a company ran by Sam Altman.

Will he appeal it? Because if he does, well then that's more bad PR for the GOP. Not that I'm complaining.

He is turning it into Mar-a-Lago.

I'm still trying to figure out how Cuomo didn't notice the damn lipstick.

I don't know either, and that's the problem. Open source projects can justify being free, even if some of the business models are a bit questionable (e.g. open core). What I do know is companies behind proprietary software has proven time and time again that we're the product.

I stumbled upon them years ago when I discovered they had online colour tools. However, they've gradually leaned into AI and seem to be racking up a portfolio to rival Adobe.

They used to be anti-Adobe and claimed they'd never stoop to their level. This new free version offers Canva Premium plan, which unlocks cloud content. It's only going to get worse from here.

Better late than never.

Wyoming Sen. Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyoming) has introduced legislation that would effectively undo decades of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rules for diesel engines and ban emissions control devices and onboard diagnostic systems.

The "Diesel Truck Liberation Act" was inspired by the story of Wyoming diesel mechanic Troy Lake, who was sentenced to prison for “deleting” emissions systems. Lummis has reportedly sent a letter to President Trump requesting a pardon for Lake. According to Cowboy State Daily, Lake was sentenced to a year in prison in December 2024 for Clean Air Act violations, but he has since been released to serve home confinement.

A coalition of states and cities are taking EPA to court for canceling a $7 billion program designed to lower renewable energy costs for low-income households.

The lawsuit filed Thursday by 21 states and the District of Columbia contends that the agency unlawfully walked back funding promised as part of the “Solar for All” program created in 2022 as part of the Biden-era Inflation Reduction Act.

A three-judge federal appeals court panel Thursday rejected President Donald Trump’s request that it overturn a lower court ruling barring his attempted military deployment in Chicago.

The Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals panel’s unanimous decision will for now partially halt Trump’s military intervention in the Windy City. The panel said the administration has offered “insufficient evidence” to justify the attempted takeover.

Oklahoma State Superintendent Lindel Fields announced Wednesday he will reverse several initiatives launched by former Superintendent Ryan Walters, including a Bible distribution plan now tied up in court.

Fields said his immediate plan includes filing a motion to dismiss an ongoing lawsuit and halting Walters’ proposal to “distribute Bibles or a Biblical character education curriculum in classrooms,” according to the Oklahoma State Department of Education.
