DeRozan took exception to Pascal Siakam attempting a 3-point shot with 3 seconds left and the Raptors leading by 12 points when Siakam could've dribbled out the clock. DeRozan angrily chastised the Raptors bench and coach Darko Rajakovic, who told coach Billy Donovan that Siakam attempted the shot because point differential matters for In-Season Tournament ramifications.

The Raptors actually had been eliminated from In-Season Tournament advancement before the game, but apparently, word didn't get to Rajakovic and Siakam.

"I don’t care about no In-Season Tournament points, none of that. Just respect for the game," DeRozan said. "If the roles was flip-flopped and I had the ball, hold it. It is what it is."

This is an L take, Demar DeRozan is an exception to the threes over deep two rule. I think there was a thinking basketball video on how for some peculiar reason his efficiency drops significantly from deep two to three range. He’s consistently been one of the most efficient mid-range scorers for a decade.

Yes the three is usually a much better option than the deep two but it also depends on who’s taking it.

As for the self-cantered, he’s literally been loved by every fan base he’s been to so idk man.

As for the self-cantered, he’s literally been loved by every fan base he’s been to so idk man.

During Ayo Dosunmu's rookie season Demar went down with him to Champaign (which is the most boring 3 hour drive from Chicago) to see his jersey retirement ceremony at the University of Illinois even though they'd only known each other for a couple months at that point. Last year he did similar things with then-rookie Dalen Terry, you'd see videos of them hanging out like Demar was making sure Terry felt welcome in the locker room.

He seems like the best type of vet teammate you could ask for, it's the opposite of the Kobe type attitude like "you can't sit with us at this table until you get better at basketball."

I love DeMar man. What a real one.

You from Champaign? Glad someone else knows how miserable that trip is lol. Lived there for three years for grad school. Never again.

Nah but I'm from the sw Chicago suburbs and I've driven down to Champaign sometimes. Nothing but cornfields on that drive lol

Dalen literally calls him dad

That’s true only when he’s hitting 2s at over 55%, this year he has been off, and it’s clear why contested/deep/fadeaway 2s are lower efficiency shots. It just mucks everything up in the offense, decreases passing, decreases off ball movement.

Thinking Basketball is a channel for hacks. My man day Dangelo Russell was a mini Draymond Green on defense.

He post weekly surface level bs and guys like you eat it up.

Show me a channel that does a better job of explaining the game than thinking basketball. I'd be happy to be shown the light.

That video wasn’t trying to paint him as an actual Draymond level, just showing that his role on that teams defense was similar to Draymonds. Which it was.

Just fyi, that last line you said is exactly how I feel about Jimmyhighroller.
