two of my favorite players and power forwards in the league

as a big they are both mobile , can shoot well from ft and 3, have some handles and passing ability, can rebound and play decent defense

both coming of one of their best career seasons,

who would you take rn, Kristaps Porzingis or Julius Randle?

some quick career stats just for reference but their stats last year were generally better:

Kristaps Porzingis

19.6pts | 7.9reb | 1.9ast | 0.7stl | 1.8blk | 1.7tov

Julius Randle

18.7pts | 9.4reb | 3.6ast | 0.7stl | 0.4blk | 2.8tov

who u got?

I don’t know how you don’t say Randle.

Porzingis might have the better statistical season, but Randle has had more impact years where he’s made his team better.

That doesn’t necessarily mean I think Randle is a player I want to build around or anything, but he’s had 2 actual legitimate years where he improved his team and made them matter. That’s two more than Porzingis ever had.

How would the bucks say randle? You playing him at the 3? Surely the bucks would rather have KP for lopez insurance since the man is definitely gonna regress soon

Not sure how you are measuring impact, but impact metrics favored Porzingis significantly more than Randle last year.

KP's health is a huge issue, but the one year he was healthy the advanced metrics would say he was better than Randle.

but Randle has had more impact years where he’s made his team better.

Has he really? He's a decent player but the advanced metrics say KP is a far more valuable player when healthy.

And it's pretty tough to ignore Randle's postseason performances at this point. He may just be a guy who struggles when defenses start putting in full effort.

IMO KP is clearly the better player when healthy. So if you're talking about ceilings of a player, I don't know how you don't say KP.
