Team All Bigs East Vs West, who you got?

it just randomly dawned on me , especially amidst the Thanksgiving holiday, that this is the time of giving

that the main incentive the league gave the players to be engaged more with the tournament was cash prizes or whatever

but what about adding a charitable component?

like each team plays for and represents a charity and the winner gets a million dollars , 2nd place gets half a million and so on , and every team that doesnt get out the group stage still receives like 50 grand or whatever towards their charity

it just seems like the NBA has ample money and its the least they could do ….

just a random thought but

  • the pistons could easily not win another single game all year ( 😔 but also lol )

  • the bulls have some legit players but cant seem to get over the hump and they’re very frustrated

  • the hornets are the hornets and even michael jordan move on from them

  • the clippers reap what they sow

  • the grizzlies are injury ridden and drama filled with Ja

  • any other contenders?

what team do you feel bad for this season?

as.a Knicks fan I am really pleasantly surprised and thankful for RJ Barrett thus far this season

he has made some really nice improvements to his game, nothing that jumps out at you but has just been way more consistent and reliable but that goes a long way defensively and offensively throughout the course of the game and season

also just thankful for his maturity as a player, it seems like he has taken on a big responsibility to be the team glue guy and everyone looks up to ans he helps keep everyone like randle brunon mitch on the same page and engaged and united as a squad

also incredibly thankful for mitchell robinsons defensive and rebounding prowess , he a beast on the glass and very intimidating in the paint

tldr: I love the knicks

anyway

what are you most thankful for this season NBA wise?

class act mad man Maxey really just warmed my heart

After a wonderfully dominant and seemingly effortless 50 point performance in the now historic “Battle of the Tyreses” Tyrese Maxey said he dedicated this game to his new teammate and great friend, Kelly Oubre whom has recently been injured from a very sad and unfortunate automobile accident

he said and im paraphrasing

“I just recently met Kelly Oubre and I love him, I wish him a speedy recovery “

truly remarkable

so proud of maxey and the sixers

BALL IS LIFE

edit: if anybody has the highlight of the interview please share 🙏

I am a huge Knicks fan and after a horrendous shooting game ( especially from down town shooting 7/37 )the other day

it dawned on me they have no real shooters and def no pure shooters , apart from maybe fournier who gets zero minutes

sure they got some players that could make a shot but no real guys that are known or even really excel at shooting

think about it…

  • brunson: score first point guard mostly know for doin damage with those shifty moves in the paint and mid range, sure he hit 8 3s the other day but that clearly was a rarity and not known for his shooting especially…last year was his first real opportunity to be an offensive epicenter so maybe he can still blossom into a shooter but who knows

  • rj barrett: more of a slasher and can thrive at the FT line at times. i love rj and ik he prays and wishes he was a shooter but his formation is awkward and he is very inconsistent

  • julius randle def an okay shooter for a big but clearly has made a living banging in the post and shooting crazy fall aways and shit …he has hit clutch jump shots but obviously nobody considers him a “shooter”

  • mitch robinson: thank god his freethrow % is up this year and hes been workin on it but idek if big mitch has attempted a jump shot in his nba career lol

  • quentin grimes: potentially a shooter and supposedly a 3 & d type beat but hes like the 7th option as a starter and gets like 5 touches a game (no real fault of his own, coach thibs is subpar)

  • immanuel quickley: IQ def can knock it down from all over the map and is one of the best FT shooters in the league…maybe he is their best shooter but idk

  • fresh legs fournier: prolly the only shooter on the team and is apparently unplayable this pt in his careerr

knicks were pitiful shooting wise their last game and they could use some help shooting perhaps

in apx 22 mins of play Andrew Nembhard had a nice outting dropping an assists double double off the bench

12 pts / 4 reb / 10 ast

just wanted to shout out a dude like Nembhard who may not get much shine rn but is out here ballin

can somebody pleaseee share the hip hop nba segment that they just played to kick off the. nba season?

it was beautiful segment!

hip hop and ball means so much to all of us

two of my favorite players and power forwards in the league

as a big they are both mobile , can shoot well from ft and 3, have some handles and passing ability, can rebound and play decent defense

both coming of one of their best career seasons,

who would you take rn, Kristaps Porzingis or Julius Randle?

some quick career stats just for reference but their stats last year were generally better:

Kristaps Porzingis

19.6pts | 7.9reb | 1.9ast | 0.7stl | 1.8blk | 1.7tov

Julius Randle

18.7pts | 9.4reb | 3.6ast | 0.7stl | 0.4blk | 2.8tov

who u got?
