Esteemed journalists and politicians of truth and integrity are shocked

“We will crawl out of the cracks, what else can we do, since they are throwing us out of the door and throwing us out of the window,” Simonyan said. “We will be doing our job as long as we have the slightest opportunity to do it. This is our duty to the state that has entrusted us with such responsibility..."

I'm, uh, not sure that's sending the Russia-friendly message she thinks it is...

She's also a major figure in Russian domestic propaganda, so while I don't know the context in which her statement was made, it may not be aimed at an external audience.

Also, especially if the statement was originally in Russian, it may not have had the same connotation as in English. "Crawling out of the cracks" may have a negative connotation in English, but it might not in Russian.

What’s with these articles coming out with “how” Russia influenced US politics.

I thought the how was very well known, I want to talk more about why certain citizens are traitors and when they will face consequences.

This quote by Russia Today's leader doesn't sound right to me:

“We will crawl out of the cracks, what else can we do, since they are throwing us out of the door and throwing us out of the window,”

They're being indicted, not thrown out of, say, a window. On the latter, someone is known for having people thrown out of windows, but I think he's located in Russia.
