How’s American Dad these days? I remember Season 1 and bits of Season 2 were genuinely funny and mostly based around caricatures of the american conservative. Then I had to stop watching because later seasons started to get more insensitive and “bothsidesy”.

American Dad still has McFarlane involved it's fucking unhinged and it's amazing
Beyond hilarious still love that show to this day! Somebody needs to make a American dad sub if join instantly
Don't let your memes be dreams
For fans of Cracked back in the day, Soren Bowie from After Hours is one of the American Dad writers now.
They went completely off the rails, it's near its best.
congrats, dadders
God, some things just need to be allowed to die a dignified death.
The first 10 maybe 15, 20 is stretching it seasons of the simpsons were alright, parts of them genuinely good. Why we’ve continued another 20 years with lesser writers and low quality slop is beyond me…
because enough people are watching and animation is cheaper to do than a single camera or three camera 22 minute sitcom
animation is cheaper
Only because we underpay animators, especially in other countries. Places like Akom which does The Simpsons, for example.
With 25% tariffs on South Korea, maybe The Simpsons will be onshored... and end up looking like Dr Katz
100%. it's an exploitatative industry. one that gives us incredible works of art, but an exploitative industry nonetheless
Will Fox at least give Bob’s Burgers a coherent airing schedule? Or did the writer’s strike cause this?
Season 14 episode 13 aired in May 2024, but the last three episodes didn’t air till September. Then immediately afterwords the following week they premiered season 15.
That particular thing was the strikes. But Bob's also seems to be the thing that gets pulled so new shows can have its time slot for a shot in the arm. That's why the 2nd half of season 15 hasn't started.
Oh… I thought the season was over.
Curious to see if/how this will affect American Dad. I feel like they’ve been crushing it on TBS.
I can’t wait to see how this will fuck up the season numbering even more
So, no new adult animation shows? Lame.
I read that Jon Lovitz wants to bring back “The Critic”.
Yeah but that's not a new show. That's trying to revive a dated show that only worked for its time period.
It didn't work for Beavis and Butt-Head for too long. It didn't work for Celebrity Deathmatch.
Classic Celebrity Deathmatch was so good
Agreed but Fox is always like this with their shows. Most of the good ones started on Comedy Central or Adult Swim.
So much for the theories that the current one would be the last FOX season for the Simpsons
Has simpsons ever predict when the series will end? If not, then theres nothing to worry about
Well they have the song from, I think, "Behind the laughter" that goes "you'll never stop The Simpsons, have no fears we've got stories for years".
Also in the 138th episode spectacular Troy says "Who knows what adventures they'll have between now and the time the show becomes unprofitable" and we apparently haven't hit that point yet.
Their opening episode this season was an in-universe "final episode" with Bart fighting against the changes. But it didn't have a clear date.
