THX soundddddddddd

[–] scan7@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Sorry about the serious answer... The K7 is a killer amp with very clean sound. You have achieved HiFi.

Anything more is really looking at diminishing returns

[–] botflyinthesky@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I don't think selling organs is necessary, but I would highly recommend you to swap the original Elear Pads for Clear OG or Utopia pads! Big difference in tonality, just lovely

[–] Sel2g5@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Jajja if you are in this sub you are already chasing the fractions of 1%.

I have 11 cans as of now and I have stopped didn't buy anything in 23 and won't in 24. I'm content. I just want the time to enjoy.

[–] DromedarioEsplosivo@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

For true HiFi expirience you need to go to the hospital for dialysis at least twice a week

[–] Mungkelel@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

No, it‘s only Hi-Fi if it‘s an HE-1. Don’t stress about what other say Hifi is no clear „begins here and ends here“-term. Hifi is subjective for one its everything over a HD560S for others everything past DT1990S. I would say this fits very well into the hifi category

[–] evandarkeye@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I'd rather you buy an xl mousepad. Why buy a finalmouse if you're not playing fps games on a sens low enough to use a large mousepad.

[–] lovemocsand@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

This is hi fi. Enjoy

[–] sheenonthebeat@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

HiFi isn’t about the gear, it’s about the friends we made along the way…

Anyway, send me the listing when you get that kidney put up.

I don't know why, but the small Artisan mousepad makes me uncomfortable.

[–] d768@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

It's not Hi-Fi if you can afford. Hi-Fi could be only achieved after second mortgage.

[–] entivoo@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I would recommend selling another kidney from my personal experience.

Once you're out of organs that is when you reach the true HiFi status.

If that doesn't get you there you can always sell one of your ears. You have two.

[–] szakee@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

ye, sure, whatever buddy

[–] Shadow_Asii@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

What you should do to achieve true hifi status is implant a small electrode array onto the cochlea, so you can directly stream music to your auditory nerve, with no detail loss nor distortion

[–] No_mans_shotgun@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I would quite like your setup!

[–] Solypsist_27@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Hell yeah this is hifi, I would love to be able to afford this combo right now lol

Also, hifi isn't really an absolute thing. This is a subjective hobby in all of its aspects, as far as how much money you want to spend, what your specific sound preference is and if you want to spend more money for the amp than the headphones or viceversa. Though from what I've read online the setup you're rocking could be endgame for many people. If not because the sound is almost as good as it gets, just because most people can't afford the just to get any sort of upgrade from this.

[–] Antiwhippy@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Sell your ears, then you will experience true hi-fi praxis.

[–] Ok-Option-82@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Let your ears decide rather than worrying about other peoples' judgement

[–] efptoz_felopzd@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

No way, I have to live through others opinions of me.

Definitely this

[–] Coel_Hen@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

If you’re buying gear to impress a subreddit, sell a kidney. If you’re buying gear to achieve a pleasing sound, stop when the sound pleases you.

[–] Brad_theImpaler@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (3 children)

What if nothing pleases me??

[–] Coel_Hen@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Then you suffer and yearn. 🥺

you already did if you bought an artisan pad

[–] PersonalAdagio4233@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Hifi is in ur head, so the answer is buy drugs.

[–] No_Criticism_3122@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It's good but but if only you had the USB c apple dongle with the apple buds then you are ein true Nirvana but only if you connect it to you computer using the apple thunderbolt 4 cable for 150

The amp has a hi res sticker on it, but the headphones and cable don't. So the amp is hifi but the headphones and cable is not. A few wireless headphones have a hi res logo on them, so they do exist.

[–] Beany51@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Wouldn’t be Hifi without the $1,000 cable 🥶

[–] ZookeepergameDue2160@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Even my HD600's have a "Hi-Res Audio" sticker on the box so i would be surprised if those Focal's didn't

[–] blorg@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

It's down to whether the OEM decided to pay the Japan Audio Society to use the mark or not. Focal did not.

[–] HuikesLeftArm@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Easiest remedy for this is to add stickers to the other components.

[–] ALAS_002@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

just put the sticker on your head and then you'll hear everything in lossless

Hifi isn't what you own, it's a state of mind. If you think your setup, music preferences, and opinions are better than everyone else, then you have achieved hifi.

[–] Juan-punch_man@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

No you have to buy hifi

This guy’s setup is trash, he needs to pour a lot more money in to make it hifi

[–] HerniatedHernia@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Is that a Moon Audio Silver Dragon premium cable?

If not this is still amateur hour /s

[–] MostPatientGamer@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I know you're being rhetorical but I'd easily consider something like DT 770 + Qudelix 5 to be hifi. Diminishing returns starts stupidly early in this hobby, especially if you can EQ a little bit.

[–] Who-Does@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

You have to show us your hifi ethernet cable to be considered

[–] nocaBriS@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

u have a brother/sister? Sell them

[–] 5uperman8atman@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago
[–] Elkemper@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Honestly, I don't give a shit what everyone could say, I consider my Elexes as high-end, period.

[–] StatiX91@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Those must be comfortable headphones, I bet you could listen all day

[–] tifached@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

how come no one is jumping on the blue led light ?

[–] Missgranularsynth@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

even airpod are hi-fi

[–] smoloms@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Hifi is whatever you want it to be.

[–] TECHNICKER_Cz3@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

don't chase the status

[–] El_Pal0@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Trust your ears. Everything else is just FOMO

[–] Morphon@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

If you like it, that's all that matters.

Your setup is better than 99.99% of the population of wherever you live.

Enjoy the music. Be happy. 😁

[–] Lewisham@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

This sub is like the r/wallstreetbets of buying physical items isn’t it? Just sink another $1000 in and you’ll finally get what you’re worth!

[–] MacintoshEddie@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Double the size of your THX sticker for warmer sound.
