This guy’s end goal is pushing the “mentally infirm” into the incinerator. RFK is a eugenicist who sees anyone not up to his standards as sub human, as useless eaters who need culling.

[–] Fandangalo@lemmy.world 30 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

His “Wellness” farms in the distant future:

  • Eroded safety nets
  • Vilify mental health
  • Revert to misguided mental health past, asylums as the solution
  • Send people there for believing “alternative liberal fictions” (a.k.a. basic facts)
  • ???
  • All that’s left is hope

[–] guyoverthere123@lemmy.dbzer0.com 12 points 1 week ago (2 children)

ironic that he was a heroin junkie, and sees others as subhuman.

[–] infinitesunrise@slrpnk.net 1 points 1 week ago

The people who want to dehumanize others en masse are almost always fucked up weirdos, themselves. In a way it's not even ironic, just an incredibly predictable trope / individual personality tragedy.

[–] abbiistabbii@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Please don't compare heroin addicts to Nazis. I went to school with three people who fell into that drug.

[–] GiantChickDicks@lemmy.ml 7 points 1 week ago

It's not a comparison. RFK Jr. is both.

Just days ago didn't he lament how terrible autism is, how destructive it is to whole families? Now he wants to take support away from those families? Being wrong is one thing, this is self contradictory nonsense.

[–] AngrySquirrel@lemm.ee 17 points 1 week ago

It would only be contradictory if he wants us to live.

[–] Eldritch@lemmy.world 14 points 1 week ago

Yep, how we'll never pay taxes and just shit all over ourselves because we're so useless. It was some of the most ignorant eugenicist BS I've seen

[–] Mirshe@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Nope, this fits right in. We're all useless and don't contribute a thing, thus we simply shouldn't be taking up resources. At all. From anyone.

I'm sure you can fill the blanks in, but I'll put it this way: the only resources they want "autistic" people (because you can really stretch that definition to include pretty much anyone if you stretch the definition of things like social norms) to receive is a single 5.56mm round.

[–] RedPostItNote@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

As a normal person watching all of this I’m terrified that autistic people are going to think the general population feels this way too. We don’t and we love you. I’m sorry you’re having to even hear this dumb shit with your ears. Please please do not internalize this Nazi rhetoric. It’s nuts the damage he is doing

[–] Mirshe@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago

As an autistic person myself, there's FAR too many normal people who think this way.

[–] j0ester@lemmy.world 28 points 1 week ago (2 children)

His family told everyone not to trust him. Only person who does is idiot Donald.

[–] WrenFeathers@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago

Trump also told everyone he was going to be a dictator and essentially destroy their lives via Project 2025.

This apparently wasn’t enough motivation for ninety million people.

[–] JasonDJ@lemmy.zip 10 points 1 week ago

Plenty of people wanted to vote for him for president. Donald isn't the only idiot.

[–] missingno@fedia.io 27 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I'm telling the IRS that RFK said I don't have to pay taxes anymore.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I know this was a joke, but I've seen people on here unironically talk about how they'll never pay taxes again.

Lol good luck with that. You know, when they defund the IRS, they end up going after the low hanging fruit. AKA people who can't afford expensive attorneys.

It's like the main reason it's always targeted. If we actually provided the funding to allow them to go after billionaires, we'd be raking in ridiculous amounts of revenue.

[–] j0ester@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

You can’t work or play ball anymore.

"I hate what I am ignorant of, so I will cause pain and suffering instead of trying to learn and fix my ignorance. It's easier that way, and since I am such a huge sack of shit born with a silver spoon in my mouth and have been given many many chances to better myself I am going to close the door behind me. Fuck you, I got mine and that's all that matters." - Rat Fuck Kennedy

[–] Forester@pawb.social 22 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (3 children)

You think exposure to his aunts history would have shaped his mind towards a more open viewpoint.

If you're not aware, Rosemary Kennedy was severely autistic. Then they lobotomized her. Then she was completely helpless.

Clearly it was the autism not the lobotomy /s

[–] SarcasticMan@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

You would think, but seems not.

[–] bramkaandorp@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

I wonder if his takeaway was that her life was not worth living, and this is an extension of that mindset.

[–] watson387@sopuli.xyz 3 points 1 week ago

Yeah, I saw a documentary about that. It's terrible what they did to her. I fucking hate these people.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 25 points 1 week ago (1 children)

So let me see if I follow the anti-vaxxer dumbfuckery....

  1. Vaccines cause autism.
  2. Also, let's target those with autism?
[–] abbiistabbii@lemmy.blahaj.zone 14 points 1 week ago (1 children)

A lot of the anti Vax movement hate autistic people.

[–] kent_eh@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 week ago (2 children)

What's their ~~reason~~ excuse for that?

[–] buddascrayon@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago (2 children)

A good deal of them are people who have autistic kids. They absolutely despise their kids because they fantasize about the non-autistic child they think they could have had "if their kid only didn't get that vaccine that turned them autistic".

That's the thought pattern. I fucking seen it in person and it's fucking disgusting.

BTW, these same fuckweeds also like to martyr themselves on the cross of all the things they have "sacrificed' for their autistic kids. As if loving and supporting your kid no matter what isn't something they should be doing anyway.

[–] infinitesunrise@slrpnk.net 6 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Like over half of autism "advocacy" out there is just affirmation for the self-deluded parents of autistic kids who secretly think it's their fault that their kid is autistic (Even though it's not) and so need to externalize blame elsewhere. Autism advocacy is a minefield because of these people.

[–] SCmSTR@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

So it's just traumatized idiots, turned into narcissists and tribal sycophants?

[–] buddascrayon@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

They traumatize themselves though. That's the point I'm making.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Why are people racist? Who knows man... Ignorance mostly probably

[–] SCmSTR@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 week ago

My current prevailing hypothesis is that it's that, combined with an underdeveloped empathy part of the brain, akin to aphantasia.

[–] Jax@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

These people are all about lying about how great they are when everyone knows they aren't. It's narcissism, or greed, or whatever you can assign to it.

'Can't be my fault he's so r******d. Must be the vaccines. God damnit I knew I shoulda protected MY BABY BOOOY!! '

These people need to be victims, and I don't mean that in the sense that bad things should happen to them. I mean that they personally feel the need to be victims, so they can use it as justification to lash out angrily.

[–] MyOpinion@lemm.ee 24 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Anyone that is different is a target of these Nazis.

[–] Zenith@lemm.ee 2 points 1 week ago

That’s the crazy part to me! The right screeches nonstop about individualism but at the end of the day it’s actually trying to enforce group think, homogenize behavior, race, beliefs, neurology, the right is the party of conformity and they fly the banner of individualism higher than anyone else!

[–] KamikazeRusher@lemm.ee 23 points 1 week ago

The article went into a level of depth that I did not expect from the first paragraph. I strongly encourage all to read it in full. The effects of services and support being cut really highlights how regressive past and pending changes are for families of and individuals with Autism, plus a warning of a cycle that is set to repeat.

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 17 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Anyone ever hear this guy speak? He sounds like he has Parkinson's, that disease that has no cure and is genetic and unavoidable. He needs to go on a cull list because he is unfit to be a human, not because of the disease but because he is trash.

[–] Mirshe@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago

He has spasmodic dysphonia, a muscular condition that MAY have been exacerbated by his drug use. His voice is a result of an experimental surgery he elected to undergo to alleviate it to a degree - IIRC he is claimed to have spent most of 2017-2020 almost completely uncommunicative with the world outside his house, barely ever leaving AT ALL because his dysphonia pre-surgery was so bad that it was a great effort to speak at all.

[–] watson387@sopuli.xyz 5 points 1 week ago

Being a long-term junkie can be hard on a man.

[–] LMurch@thelemmy.club 17 points 1 week ago (2 children)

What's the deal with this guy and autism?

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 19 points 1 week ago (1 children)

It’s highly likely he’s on the spectrum, at least ADHD. He grew up in a family that couldn’t handle mental “illness” because it looked bad to the press and whatever other reasons. So he basically had his problems completely ignored and swept under the rug at various boarding schools along with having a bitter and verbally abusive matriarch. Couple that with drug abuse and the dude never had a chance.

He’s basically “run home”, like preacher’s kid that was a disaster in their youth but then came roaring back full-on God Squad Bible Thumper in their midlife of so.

So he’s just doing the same crap to everyone else that was done to him: you don’t have a real problem, and if you do have a problem, it’s your fault.

[–] null_dot@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Was it his sister who was lobotomised?

Ima find it.

Edit: auntie. Sounds like he would have seen her at family things in the 80s.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosemary_Kennedy

Who wants to bet her being half goddan brain dead shook him up as a kid. Like seriously, "visit Aunt Rose, she can't think properly!" As a kid that would have fucked me.

[–] buddascrayon@lemmy.world 12 points 1 week ago (3 children)

It's simple. These people hate autistic kids. Just read his own words. He hates that they are a "tragic burden" on their parents (as if even raising a neurotypical kid is a picnic) and he hates that these kids can't be exploited the way other children are.

He's also moron who cannot distinguish the fact that autism is a spectrum that includes hundreds of millions of people who otherwise live fairly normal lives thanks to the innovations that have been developed to help autistic people to adapt to the world in the past 50 years. (You know, since we actually sought to help them instead of throwing them all in an institution and trying to ignore their existence)

Fuck Robert F Kennedy Jr and his worm brained bullshit!

[–] eepydeeby@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 week ago

he hates that these kids can’t be exploited the way other children are.

This is so true it took the wind out of me 💀
