How is it that both of them look animatronic?

[–] Witchfire@lemmy.world 42 points 4 days ago

Billionaires are not human

She looks like a melted gelfling

[–] joelfromaus@aussie.zone 6 points 3 days ago

She looks like the reference for the captured goblin lady in Baldurs Gate 3.

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 71 points 4 days ago (1 children)

No rest for billionaires.

They could all wear red clown noses, and just fill the streets. Everyone they see is wearing a red Bozo the Clown nose.

Also, Bozo lost his perfectly lovely wife because he's a fucking monster. And, now, he has that thing standing next to him. I suppose it is more fitting to the monster Bozo has become.

[–] ieatpwns@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

He just likes the power to pay to make his wife look how he wants

[–] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 5 points 4 days ago (1 children)

He WANTS that? If I had that kind of money, I'd at least want someone who is pretty.

[–] HeyJoe@lemmy.world 8 points 4 days ago (1 children)

To rich people, the more work done equates to higher beauty, no matter how bad it is. It's almost as if they have no idea what actually looks good. If it costs a lot, it must be the best.

[–] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 5 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (1 children)

Valid. They want people to look at them and not think they look beautiful, they want people to think "that looks like an expensive face."

Those people always look like lizards going mach 3 without a helmet.

[–] Novamdomum@fedia.io 56 points 4 days ago (2 children)

I mean... just look at them... 😲 Is this the life that's supposed to be the goal we should all be striving for? Look at those frozen, plastic faces. The soulless eyes. It's like they're just screaming silently inside. HOW IS ANY OF THIS A GOAL?!? This is why money frightens me.

[–] crusa187@lemmy.ml 6 points 4 days ago

Because capitalism bad. Truly, it’s not the way.

[–] SARGE@startrek.website 4 points 4 days ago

Can we just tow them both beyond the environment?

Ok, good point. Will there be a Dave, then?

[–] match@pawb.social 4 points 4 days ago

Bella ciao bella ciao bella ciao ciao ciao

[–] seven_phone@lemmy.world 25 points 4 days ago (2 children)

This reminds me of the 1943 plot to slightly bend all of Hitler's coat hangers.

[–] Hobbes@startrek.website 1 points 1 day ago

Is this real? What's the purpose?

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 13 points 4 days ago

This sounds like a Monty Python skit.

[–] Netrunner@programming.dev 5 points 3 days ago

Fuck him, disrupt baby!

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 16 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (1 children)

Damn. The Italians (and Americans) need to take protesting pointers from the French.

Remember when Parisians shit in the seine river en masse to protest holding water events in it?

This was... Checks watch... Less than a year ago.

[–] cosmicrookie@lemmy.world 10 points 4 days ago (1 children)

And it was ... checks notes... not more effective

[–] Noodle07@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago

It was some good meme though

[–] hOrni@lemmy.world 12 points 4 days ago (1 children)

He's marrying a woman who looks like a faulty Chinese sex doll. Let him be. Hell regret soon enough.

[–] TheLowestStone@lemmy.world 18 points 4 days ago

Nah, fuck him.

[–] EndlessNightmare@reddthat.com 9 points 4 days ago

TIL that this wedding that I heard about quite a while ago hasn't actually happened yet. The context of the news story on it was how outrageously expensive it is.

[–] meathorse@lemmy.world 7 points 4 days ago (2 children)

Theoretically, let's say, bozo the clown is sitting in a gondola floating through Venice, and someone on the rooftop above has a large steel net and at each corner is a very heavy weight.

How heavy would those weights need to be when the net is thrown over the canal, to drag the gondola and occupant to the bottom of the canal?

[–] Stovetop@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Assuming the chains are thrown as to divide the weight evenly across the gondola, guessing the combined weight would need to exceed the total weight capacity of the gondola.

Google tells me gondolas have a weight limit of 6 adults weighing 105kg each, guessing Bezos and his inflatable sex doll fiancee weigh a bit less than that so you'd need probably 450kg worth of weights to drag the whole thing down.

However, being more strategic, you could probably be more efficient on weight if you were to put most of the weight on one side so as to drag just one end of the gondola into the water. The Billionaires fall in and get dragged under by the weight, the gondolier may have a chance to escape.

[–] ThunderWhiskers@lemmy.world 6 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

It's very likely that a gondola can actually hold double the weight it is rated for.
