He's scoring 26.5 points per 75 possessions, with a TS% that is 7.7 points above league average.

The only other players to reach those marks are: Stephen Curry (34.2pts/75, +11.6 TS%), and Nikola Jokic (31.8pts/75, +8.7 TS%).

It's just crazy to me, since this isn't just a "great for year 21" type of vol/efficiency — but bonafide MVP-level offensive scoring.

For reference: last year he was just about league average in TS%, and there were 11 players to reach his vol/efficiency.

blah blah blah

[–] blacknotblack@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

You mean 21st season or year by age?

[–] naslanidis@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Compare Lebron's shot charts to the others though.

Lebron is being very selective with his shots and relying heavily on a high proportion of buckets in the restricted area.

Idk who convinced the world, probably Rich Paul, to refer to LeBron’s career by years instead of age but they did their job well.

Crazy his scoring avg - all-time is the same as KD

And he’s 4th all-time in steals. Amazing

[–] ASK_ABT_MY_USERNAME@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Just another stat padder smh

Sensational

[–] insanezain@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (2 children)

yes but how did he play for 2 weeks in June of 2011 because that is whats TRULY indicative of his talent

[–] LordBaneoftheSith@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I've been informed that by the transitive property, JJ Barea is actually the GOAT

[–] ThlammedMyPenis@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I love LeBron but there is indeed merit to his worst prolonged stretch of play being in the finals

I think 21 years is a bit small as a sample size. Maybe revisit this argument after he spends 30 years in the league for a more accurate and nuanced analysis.

[–] Haunting-Ad9521@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Exactly! These analysts are always jumping to conclusions!

[–] Large_Mango@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

He’ll be missed when he leaves. He looks so good now. I see him playing 5 more years

[–] Webber304@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Baaaaahhhh!

Holy shit steph is at +11.6 TS%, thats fucking wild (also joker only at +8.7%, what a bum, clearly washed tbh)

[–] CauliflowerSafe2880@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Not really wild. These two are known for this behavior. Boy do I get depressed watching the warriors nowadays.

“The warriors are a shooting team where only steph can shoot”

[–] JohnB456@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Man it's gonna be a sad day when Lebron and Steph are retired

[–] Motor-Marzipan-9926@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Jordan’s still the best. But he’s turning it into a legitimate argument

[–] weedwhacker7@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

most of his points are from bulldozing into the lane and laying it in

[–] Frendazone@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

He's a good player, a bit overrated in my opinion. But definitely okay to be in a top team! To say that he is one of the best players etc. is really exaggeration. He played like 20 seasons in a high level league. You need way more to compare him to Jordan, Kobe or KD.

[–] dragonrider5555@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I think if lebron started his career in 2020 he would average 50 a game in this era

[–] pinkiebear@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

People need to give Steph as much love as LeBron from playing so elite and efficient at his age as well. 35, almost 36, and is still one of the most conditioned players in the league.

[–] iCE_P0W3R@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

That’s my GOAT

[–] Shxcking@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Well provided the details in your post, there’s actually 3. LeBron and 2 others

[–] AtreusIsBack@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

For the love of God, another "LeBron is as old as the statue of liberty but still plays well" post. xD
