10%off all Canon bodies and lenses at Midwest Photo. Requires the code “CANTBEATCANON”. Plus they still do no sales tax.
Photography
A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.
This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.
This isn't working at the moment.
Looks like it’s over now. Ran through the weekend. If they send another email for a sale, I’ll forward it along.
This is basically a thread for people to link their discount and referral codes?
Saving
I saw that peak design was doing a black Friday deal with discount on their products up to 30%
Tamron 150-500 and sigma 150-600 are both $200 off (seems like everywhere) if you need an E mount telephoto lens. Almost everything else e mount is only $50-100 off 😕
Heipi has 13% off their travel tripod, which should bring it down to $350 or so.
Peak Design's deals are live. 30% off their carbon fiber tripod ($420), Capture Plate in Silver ($53), 65L travel duffel. Lot of other stuff at lower discounts, like other bags, straps, etc.
But if you take your camera hiking, buy that Capture Plate now and ask questions later.
Topaz is offering software bundles for up to 60% off.
I use their sharpen ai and it is actually good. Any experience with their other offerings?
Not really, I'm afraid.
There's a free trial option, and I've downloaded Photo AI and am playing around with it. It definitely sharpens very well, and I'm even more impressed with the denoising, but I'm still dithering about whether to buy because I'm not sure it's worth the money for me personally.
Any comparison with what Lightroom does by itself? Sometimes I find denoise option of Lightroom smoothens the subject a lot.
I don't use Lightroom, sorry.
The standalone Denoise AI does better than the latest Capture One with some very noisy images I've tested, but I suppose it might also depend on the subject matter (I was trying it out on high ISO photos of birds) and your personal taste.
You can download trial versions of all their apps, but there's no Black Friday discount on the individual apps, you only save if you buy the whole bundle. I'm thinking I might buy the standalone Denoise AI, but as there's no BF discount, there's also no rush...
Aputure and amaran up to 30% off plus some special bundles like a a free softbox or egg crate with certain lights.

Amazon Germany has Adobe Photography pack (Lightroom and Photoshop) for 78 euros.
I am not able to buy it outside of Germany, but maybe someone here might benefit.

To all of you looking at KEH & MPB let me share with you one persons experience: EVERY single item I have bought from MPB listed as "Excellent" has had some major defect that indicates they do not evaluate their gear beyond basic function (does it turn on) and cosmetics.
I bought a Leica M6 that had a misaligned range finder and fucked up shutter. I just bought a Sony RX1 that has a huge dust spot on the sensor that isn't cleanable due to it being fixed lens.
I've never had this problem with KEH personally. Just buyer beware when it comes to MPB you may be returning you item disappointed.
This is not what this thread is for.
Lensrentals has 20% off for rentals (LRBF2023) and 15% off on buying (KPRBF2023)
B&H has 50% off a bunch of lens pen products

So I'm a bit dumb. I was hoping the EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM would go on sale, but it did not. Given the sales, are there now comparable lenses to look into?
Canon has refurbished sale ongoing today for lenses and EOS RP body. I got an EOS RP body for $549 (normally $899) and an RF50mm F1.8 STM for $79 (normally $159). Several other refurbished lenses on sale. Also one of those cash back sites is offering 12% cash back at Canon today.

If you need storage space for your photos (and remember, 2 is one and one is none):
Costco has Seagate Expansion 14TB external HDDs for $150. Useful for a backup solution, or if you don't care about warranty and want to shuck them for use in a NAS.
B&H has Seagate 16TB Ironwolf Pros for $200 after coupon. Bit more expensive per TB, but full five-year warranty, along with 3 years of Data Recovery. Great option if you're looking to build or expand a NAS.
Level Frames has always been my goto for printing and framing my photos online. I think they have a day or two left on their sale https://www.levelframes.com/
