Almost 39 and he's somehow having his most efficient season ever. Looks way more explosive than he did in the playoffs and has good lift on his jumpshot again. Dude might fuck around and still dominate into his 40s.

And all this after losing about a step and a half. Most players would have limped into retirement 5 or 6 years ago, and here he is out-working, out-hustling, and out-playing his younger teammates.

Then there's AD

[–] LennoxAve@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Has he officially entered the MVP discussion?

[–] owensoundgamedev@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

We’re going to look back at this and think it was criminal for him to only have 4 MVPs

[–] Chillycloth@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

not impressive. Everyone's gonna be able to put up those numbers in this new soft era. KD's already doing it at 35. Neither would've last this long in the 90's

[–] jm810112@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

People are so busy hating that they're not appreciating the greatness of this guy's career. The argument for Jordan argument gets weaker by the day

[–] ducksonaroof@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

This is unprecedented.

[–] Glaurung86@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Like Doctor Who, LeBron regenerates every few years. He just keeps the same outer shell.

[–] Burnem34@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Hes officially entered his 5th prime

Daily lebron stat thread. As if anyone except laker fans care at all

[–] reason4rage@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

LeBron isn't even close to my favorite player, and I'm not a fan of him personally, but I do like to hear about his achievements. The man made history, in multiple ways. Old AF and still one of the top players in the league. Your hate negates none of that, move along.

That efficiency won’t sustain

[–] ImTheJdot@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

"Lebron good, gimme upvotes"

[–] cock-a-dooodle-do@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I think he goes to a fountain of youth every year for sure.

Post to r/Glaze

[–] Still_Refuse@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

People make stat glazing post for every star or player that makes an impact lol.

Why is everyone hating on lebron?

[–] panashechd@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (7 children)

As an LBJ fan you come to realise that LBJ has shitted on every fanbase here. Detroit in 07, Celtics in 11 & 18, Hawks in 15, Toronto in 18, Warriors in 16, 21 and 23, Spurs in 13, OKC in 12, Miami in 20, Denver in 20, Pacers in 12, 13 and 18 etc. so all these fanbases despise him besides maybe like Jazz, Minnesota fans (depending on how they feel about the Love trade) Orlando and like Bucks. You’ve gotta let it go

His bad free throw shooting shows how hard he is working, and that this burden is too much for him. The Lakers are pushing him to the injured list and then they will lose 15 straight without him.

[–] drawsomeaweaome@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (9 children)

Of course, it’s all haters quick to the draw lol

[–] 2011_finals_lebron@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I wake up extra early to have more time to hate

Bronssexuals are like locust swarms, last time I checked Lebronze got swept and it's still early in the season.

It’s just unreal and I’m in awe. The lakers always collapse as soon as he goes for a short break. Mfer has to carry players half his age lol.

And some idiots argue with me that he isn't a top 10 player anymore.

[–] JMEEKER86@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Tbf, while his stats are insane for his 21st season, they are fringe top 10 this season by almost every metric. His numbers would have easily been top 5 10 years ago, but stats have gotten wild and there are a lot of players putting up crazy numbers.

[–] faithfuljohn@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

And some idiots argue with me that he isn't a top 10 player anymore.

my test for this is this: if there was a winner take all game tomorrow, who would I take?

I can tell you there are NOT 10 guys I'd pick before Lebron.

[–] TwoShitsTrev@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (8 children)

Man I’m a huge Lebron fan but right now he just isn’t top 10 in the league, defense is too poor to be anywhere near top 10

He’s definitely top 5, I’m not taking anyone in the NBA besides Jokic and Giannis in a playoff series and I’m being so dead serious.

KD is a few years younger but still old, had to work through (for most at his age) career ending injury and is still playing like hes in his prime.

his FT issues are so bizarre

[–] LakersFan15@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

He has mental issues with them. I think it’s a big reason why he sucks at them in the clutch too. He always changes his routine depending on slumps.

It needs to be said: Lebron is the first and only player to hit 38,400, 38,500, 38,600, 38,700, and 38,800 points in NBA history, as well as the first and only player to reach his current total of 38,879. Literally unprecedented numbers.

I'm being a bit dramatic but not really. We are witnessing history being made every single night. How many players and records can you say that about, right now, across any sport? Only comparison I can think of is Djokovic with number of Slams, Masters, and weeks spent at world #1.

[–] drunz@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

He should be able to hit 40k this year which is just an absurd number.

[–] ducksonaroof@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

40k coming soon

Lebron is Djokovic of Basketball

[–] Different_Insect_611@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Djokovic is skillful tho. Plays to win, doesn't play for stats and never cheats the game.
