All final IST group games need to be played on the same night. Probably a lot harder to do, but Boston had the advantage of knowing how many points they needed to win by.

There’s only 4 games in the qualifying rounds. 5 teams per group. There’s going to be record ties. Point differential matters because that’s how you break a tie.
For somebody like Embiid the money isn’t a motivator but for the lower levels coaching staff or the guys on smaller contracts this might be a really nice Christmas bonus. It’s good that he’s showing that he cares.
I have no issues with educating fans on the x and o but don’t take away the drama talk. Lots of fans love the drama , trade speculations and hot takes.

Boston NEEDED to run up the score to ensure they won their group. Second time the Bulls have been salty about the point differential in an IST game. Play better and you won't be in this situation.
