Yeah, they beat up on scrub teams, and lose every time they play a good team. As it’s been for about 25 years. Good talk.

[–] emyls@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

It is weird to see that the Cowboys have the highest ppg on average going back the past 3 seasons, also top 5 in point differential. It doesn't seem like anyone views them as offensive juggernauts. They're well balanced, but obviously a front running team.

Superbowl or bust I'm afriad

[–] StudentDPT@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

They play the giants and panthers and everybody thinks theyre going to the superbowl now? What happened when they play a team like Niners? Or did everyone just forget cuz theyre America's team?

[–] Pkyankfan69@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

0-2 with a -37 point differential against teams with a winning record.

Can we talk about how disgusting it is the Bills are 4th with 105 and we’re 6-5 lmaooooooo.

Definitely deserve to be that record, but you can’t tell me that being the unluckiest team in the league this year doesn’t have something to do with it too.

[–] Enough-Competition21@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

This team is a classic bully. Beats up on the weak and defenseless and then when they get popped by a good team, they have no answer

[–] davechacho@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

This is misleading because the Ravens didn't get to play the Panthers this year. Quite unfair.

LOL - the hate in this thread because something positive was said about the Cowboys - they beat bad teams by a lot - that's apparently a bad thing now?

The Cowboys have gotten to play the Giants twice, the Ravens have played the Giants no times.

Cowboys, Dolphins, Bills - three teams that beat up on bad teams. The last stretch of the season will be very interesting for all three of them.

“wow you blew out bad teams”

why doesn’t everyone else blow out bad teams, are they stupid?

Why does games played matter for differential?

[–] Chrodesk@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

not sure how one less game is a factor in point differential. If anything, 1 less data point makes it easier to be a statistical anomaly.

[–] Staggeredboard@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Wild that the Boys have that great a point differential despite getting their asses handed to them on a platter by the Niners

Scoring over 80 on the Giants will do that to you

[–] Mikeylatz@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Didn’t realize the dolphins are such dogshit on third and fourth down. Also eagles 4th down rate is insane which I guess makes sense with the toosh push

[–] CarlSpackler22@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Week 17 Lions and Cowboys matchup should be interesting

[–] Zachmirr@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago
[–] breakfast_scorer@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (3 children)

That's not really how point differential works since if they lose it goes down, but whatever

Pretty impressive considering someone handed them a fat -32 earlier this year 😎

[–] Doobie_Howitzer@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Yeah but Baltimore is collecting souls from teams that thought they were contenders, Dallas was just running it up on the Giants in 20% of their games this season

[–] AleroRatking@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

The cowboys are legit good. People don't want to admit it. But there is no question that they are one of the five best teams in my mind.

[–] DjofullinnUlfur@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Cowboy fans in here salty AF

[–] NoCapBussinFrFr@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

The only salt I see is 31 other fanbases trying desperately to spin this into a bad thing

[–] RedRooster1776@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

All that and they won't win the NFC East. Lol

Destroying an incredibly bad team, twice, isn’t something to hang your hat on.

Damn, it's such a bummer that they decide the Superbowl on point differential, I guess it is dem boys year.

We all know the cowboys are going to cowboy some point soon. As a Vikings fan who acknowledges that the Vikings will always Viking, the cowboys are going to cowboy very hard the second it matters.

[–] hearo@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

We lost to the eagles IN PHILLY by a combined 2 yards, despite a ton of questionable calls in their favor, and yet, here they are talking shit like they’re some juggernaut.

They barely cling onto victories all year long, look downright bad like 80% of the time, but somehow cowboys putting up big numbers on bad teams isn’t as impressive as the eagles barely beating those same bad teams. Who knew

[–] El_mochilero@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I honestly can’t remember ever seeing this many 20+ point blowout wins in a season.

[–] NYerInTex@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Man, this gonna be a let down of let downs when the boys inevitably choke when it counts (and against decent if not good competition).

[–] indianm_rk@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

This will definitely get them to a New Year’s Day bowl game.

[–] SeaCoach9467@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I hate how this guy is using "one less game" in conjunction with point differential as if playing one less game is a disadvantage or something.

Playing one more game means you could lose ground on point differential...you know, if you lose.

[–] EnigmaSpore@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

You dont want to be a bad team and play the Cowboys.

They've played a lot of bad teams this year and curb stomped them all except for a little red bird team from out west...

[–] FeistyCheesecake@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Sure they’re good, but they’ve also had the easiest schedule in the league so far. Only team with SOS below .400

[–] scyber@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

And they will still lose their first playoff game.

[–] SpareDiagram@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

First round playoff exit incoming

[–] TRES_fresh@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

They lost to us by 30 and are still tied for the PD lead, when the cowboys win they win by a huge amount. I hope we get to play them again in the playoffs, that's going to be a really fun game now that Dak is putting up MVP stats.

[–] Fellborn@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (2 children)

The Giants are probably half of these points

Giants

Giants

Cardinals

Panthers

Patriots

Invalid

[–] mikejr96@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

This stat is just about scoring points. Not who is better. Yet you all turn it into a flame war. Predictable and entertaining. I'm here for it.

[–] excitement2k@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

As a massive Cowboys fan, I can promise. Promise. Promise. They will not make it past the first round of the playoffs-if they can squeeze in behind the Eagles.

[–] Hollywood2037@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

And the cowboys got their cheeks clapped by any team over .500

[–] Dr_Colossus@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Not that useful of a stat when it comes to playoff success.

[–] afig24@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I will take this as a compliment

[–] teewyesoen@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Cowboys got abolutely waxed by the niners too, which is not helping thier PD. Unfortunately for the cowboys, their road to Las Vegas will likely have to go thru SF at some point.

[–] stupidname_iknow@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Gotta love playing in the NFCE.

[–] DireWolfe92@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I'm sure their schedule has had nothing to do with that

[–] LBJBROW@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

No team has the same schedule so this stat is useless.

Cowboys have only beaten bottom feeders.
