What other players has the pacers helped out lmao
Siakam just very recently
Magic and Raptors had good offensive nights, and Gordon Hayward had a night.
Giannis scored 54 (a season high, and 1 pt away from career high) and Maxey put up a career high 50 pts, to name a few.
didn’t even realize it was against them lmao
4 teams have scored 150+ this year.
Two of them were the Pacers
The other two were against the Pacers.
There was actually a defensive metric posted on this sub a few days ago that showed
Surprisingly average defense too
He’s quietly improved a ton the last 2 years. If he had the size of other bad defensive guards like Luka / Hali I have 0 doubt he would be a clearly better defender than them.
Yeah same , been impressed with trae as a lakers fan so no bias. I wanted him to go the cp3 route n add some mass but maybe he’s worried bout shot mechanics being effected. Trae has fast hands and nimble feet mske him better on d then expected
I’m right there with ya. I think the next step is adding mass and conditioning to make up for size like what Steph did. Crazy strength and conditioning can make up for like 4 inches
He's gonna have to get bigger and stronger and go down that route eventually, if he wants to play until his mid-late 30's.
It's the effort. He actually is at least putting in work on that end of the floor now and doesn't completely give up when encountering a screen. Due to his physical limitations he'll never be a good defender but he seems more active in the lanes and is locked in which is all you can ask.
I'd still rather have Luka.
Oh wow, you would have rather have the MVP calibre player? Hot take bro.
So you agree.
Also 2-3 in the last games.
Hawks only 2-3 in those games with one of the wins against Detroit and the other against Brooklyn. Team must be letting him down, especially their defense. Gave up 145 to Brooklyn (one OT) a game after giving up 157 (no OT) against the Pacers. Their pace of play seems to push up scoring, but damn that's a lot of points to give up.
Trae sat out that pistons game so it doesn’t count. They been 1-4 in the last 5 games he played
We have an entirely new scheme. That's why our defence sucks
Hawks defense sucks tho for some reason
I starts with D and ends with eAndre Hunter
Blaming all our defensive struggles on one guy is next-level hating
I thought he was a good defender?
He’s always been like this. Starts off like he woke up from a coma and then slowly becomes his all star self.
Even a five game stretch playing the pacers he looks mid. Helpless lollipop
Why isn't it translating to team success?
Why post this when LaMelo has had the better ppg since November 15th though?
Trae young’s opposition PG have the exact same stats. Defense is a thing

Trae is nowhere near the worst defender in the league anymore. Still below average, but not even close to the worst.
He's easily better than Dame, Hali, Brunson, and Ja defensively right now.
I'm lowkey hoping you disagree cuz you'd just paint yourself as a casual lmao. Flair up and actually watch a game mf.
All the Knicks flairs in here are so telling lmfao
They really hate this guy lmfao
Just living in their heads rent-free
That shit was 2 years ago they gotta let it go
Nah fuck that we need more rivalries. I need a Knicks-Hawks first round series too
Overrated, overpaid, and will never be good enough to be the best player on a title team.
It’s hilarious (and sad) how hard it is to get a positive Trae Young post to the front page.
I'm not even sure why he's so hated lol
I guess his whole playstyle is basically constructed in a lab to annoy "oldheads" but you wouldn't think there are that many oldheads on Reddit
He’s been putting more effort in defensively since last season, im glad he’s had some more efficient games lately
63%ts and 44% from the field LOL
It’s not out of the realm for him to average these numbers over the course of a season.
Once he figures out how to be consistent, he’ll be one top 15 player away from competing in the East for a trip to the Finals.
LaMelo’s last 5 games stat: “Who cares, it’s 5 games, this doesn’t tell us anything. Wow, you guys love to overrate LaMelo, cherry-picking stats”
Trae’s last 5 games stat: “He’s back boys”
