I feel like he is too good to be playing for the Jazz, he has now finally shown everyone what hes about and what hes capable of. What team would make the most sense for him and why

Yes, he's my dream trade option for the Pels right now.

He’s only 26. Jazz can tank a few years and keep him no problem. Then they can compete while still getting picks from Wolves and Cavs

He’ll be a free agent in 2025 and having never gotten a max contract he’s definitely going to be big game hunting. I doubt Utah would be ready to contend by then simply because Markkanen makes them too good to truly tank but not good enough for a playoff spot. It makes way more sense for them to trade him before his last year of his current deal starts.

if they’re still tanking by 2025 something’s gone wrong. Ainge cant just kick the can down the road forever

[–] SoKrat3s@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

that's almost as old as franchise cornerstone Terance Mann

[–] Slymook@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Would trade Randle for him in a heartbeat

[–] Amargaladaster@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Yes, obviously.

The only way Utah trades Lauri is if Lauri asks to be traded.

Utah has a shit ton of picks. Utah is more likely to make a trade for a disgruntled star to pair with Lauri than the other way around.

Utah was a Cinderella story early last season. What happened to that magic?

[–] Mdgt_Pope@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The winning role players were traded give more minutes to tank commanders.

Kings please and thank you.

Fox Lauri Domas

There is not a single team in the universe that woud not like to have lauri

[–] GobutaTheGoat@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Mpj for Lauri????

[–] TukkerWolf@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I don't see a spot for him on the Wolves, except as a 6th man, which would be quite the waste. Technically everyone would want him, but not every team could use him?

Probably not for us since we’re already paying a lot out for bigs, and the team needs a great backup point guard (preferably someone young to develop and eventually take over the reigns from Conley after this or next season) much more than a star PF (KAT already fills that role).

He’s an incredible player though, I think the Kings, Thunder or Pacers could be really fun with him on the team though. I think he’d fit really nicely with Tyrese.

Feels somewhat same for the magic. Lauri is great, but doesn't fit the current roster construction.

I can’t think of a contender that wouldn’t want him if they had the opportunity

[–] katsikisj@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Quentin Grimes and Julius Randle for Markannen and filler

[–] KneelBeforeCube@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

sigh

Yes.

looks outside the window, wondering what could have been

[–] i_have_my_doubts@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I am glad you think my team exists just to be feed your team all stars for second round picks and a bag of chips.

[–] Gengaara@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Jazz and Timberwolves have more than Rudy in common. Though the "when will Ant ask to leave" talk has been quited this year so far.

[–] jslee0034@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

If okc somehow keeps Chet sga and jdub they’re contenders.

[–] Nweber15@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

He's exactly what we could use right now, along with alot of other things lol

[–] Wd527@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The thought of Lauri next to Bam is too good to imagine. I’m sick just thinking of it. So I’d rather not go down this rabbit hole.

[–] Slim-Ticket@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

OKC BADLY need rebounding and size, he's the perfect fit for them.

[–] NittanyLion15@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

If he were to become available, he’s my dream target for the Sixers

[–] bdybwyi@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

31 nba teams should want lauri on their roster, he’s flat out incredible.

[–] diiron@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Lauri was literally the last missing piece to round out our starting 5. Sharpshooter, big body/good help defender, had some self creation, and wasn't too injury prone. As much as I'm grateful Mitchell is on our team it's too bad we had to include him and not LeVert/Love/other pieces. Though, Koby's mindset was probably of the opinion that if none of the core 3 were included, it was already a W.
