I am 100% confident his development is being impossibly hampered by the pistons. Two guys who are only good with the ball, Cade who is good with the ball, and then a bunch of non shooting bigs. There’s no way Cade doesn’t become a superstar on a better managed team. Detroit need a complete redo.

He’ll be a free agent in 2025 and having never gotten a max contract he’s definitely going to be big game hunting. I doubt Utah would be ready to contend by then simply because Markkanen makes them too good to truly tank but not good enough for a playoff spot. It makes way more sense for them to trade him before his last year of his current deal starts.

Quentin Grimes and Julius Randle for Markannen and filler

They’re waiting til the trade deadline is closer so potential trading partners feel more pressure to make a deal. Yeah once the bulls FO knew Lonzo was going to be out ANOTHER year they should’ve immediately pivoted and traded all their big contracts (Lavine, Derozan, vuc). Just thinking about it I think the bulls are the most depressing team, their stars won’t play together and they have no promising young players.

?? They’re entire starting lineup and bench is composed of top 10 draft picks 😂 like I get what you’re saying but let’s not act like their players are 2nd round picks barely making training camp

I love the optimism but this really isn’t anything we haven’t seen before, the 2014 Mavericks (coached by Carlisle) also had the best offense ever with Dirk/monte Ellis/Chandler parsons and we know how that ended. The pacers have a super exciting young player in Haliburton but outside of him and Mathurins potential upside there isn’t much else to be excited about. I don’t think they’ll win a chip in 5 years but anything’s possible.

He’s not wrong, every single “Star” player flops on almost every single shot attempt. It’s the most disgusting and annoying shit to watch, Julius Randle does it all the time and Jalen Brunson does it half the time.

Obvious tanking by the spurs, setting wemby up for failure under the guise of “developing sochan”, as if he’s going to their starting point guard the next 12 years. It seems clear to me they don’t want to unleash wemby partially to protect him from injuries (explains his lack of center minutes) however there’s no explanation for not giving him a point guard to play with.. it honestly feels like they want to purposefully lower his value as a way to control him financially.

He was easily the best center in the NBA before his Achilles injury, he was scoring at will similar to how we see Jokic dominate with his scoring; post game, pick and roll, face up and go off the dribble, pull up threes and middies, scoring off the dribble in traffic. He was a monster.. I really thought him and AD we’re going to destroy the NBA when they got paired up in NO

If Trae Young had better shot selection he’d be a top 10 guy for sure. I really thought Quinn Snyder would be the coach that finally reigns him in and helps him learn how to take good shots but so far this year that has not been the case.
