"You're fired!"

"On what grounds, sir?"

"Showing respect and having decency. There's no place for either in this agency."

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 16 points 3 days ago (1 children)

At least it’s not cancel culture. That’s the worst.

[–] BanMe@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

The flex for them is, this is "consequence culture" because irony is dead

[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 54 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I'm so sick of what a Nazi shithole America has become.

[–] DeathsEmbrace@lemmy.world 12 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Woah woah woah, at one point you did have Nazi parades in the USA. Never went away it's like an ac generator it comes in waves.

[–] BogeyTheSwear@lemmy.zip -1 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

America was never anti nazi. They liked Hitler a lot in the beginning, and refused to get involved with the European war.

But the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, and the Americans retslister by dropping nukes on them, but they were Hitlers ally and that really pissed him off.

Had Hitler not declared war on America for bombing Japan, America would've never cared to stop nazism.

Edit: Besides, does anyone believe that all the nazi scientists that came to America afterwards only included rocket scientists and not social science, propoganda, surveillance, and all the other good stuff we used to blame the Germans for?

[–] oyo@lemmy.zip 13 points 3 days ago (1 children)

You really need to sort out your timeline. You think the US immediately dropped nukes on Japan after Pearl Harbor and that's what caused conflict with Germany? Either I'm missing a /s or we are really cooked.

[–] stringere@sh.itjust.works 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I don't think they were writing in a strictly linear timeline and it appears events of the times were included through free association moreso than any duty to chronology.

That said, it leaves a lot to inference and guesswork at the intent or point they were trying to make.

[–] Knock_Knock_Lemmy_In@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Playing fast and lose with chronology when discussing history does not inspire confidence.

[–] stringere@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 days ago

No, no it does not.

[–] lowleekun@ani.social 6 points 2 days ago

No way man! Next you tell me the U.S. is full of fascists.

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 31 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Project 2025 in full effect.

[–] PeacefulForest@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

That’s okay, it’s almost 2026 so everything will be fine then…/s

How can anyone support such petty, hateful, people? I just don't get it.

They are hateful and petty people themselves.

The FBI has fired agents who were photographed kneeling at a protest in Washington that followed the 2020 death One helped oversee investigations into the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol. Another served as acting director in the early days of the Trump administration and resisted Justice Department demands to supply the names of agents who investigated Jan. 6. A third was incorrectly rumored on social media to have participated in the investigation into Trump’s retention of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. A lawsuit filed last week by three of the fired agents alleged that Patel understood the firings were “likely illegal” but had to carry them out because he was ordered to do so by the White House. Patel has denied taking orders from the White House on whom to fire and has said anyone who has been fired failed to meet bureau standards.

[–] Kurious84@lemmings.world 6 points 2 days ago

Trump only wants the biggest pieces of shit working for him. They run their puke holes about dei and then only hire based on looks if you're a woman or blind evil loyalty if you're a man and good luck if your skin isn't orange or white.

[–] daniskarma@lemmy.dbzer0.com 12 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Not American here. Could someone explain what kneeling during protest or during the national anthem or things like that mean?

I've read it in a lot of news and I always have a hard time figuring out what the meaning of kneeling in that context is.

[–] stringere@sh.itjust.works 22 points 3 days ago (1 children)

It's a show of solidarity with a cause. Colin Kapernick started doing it during the national anthem to protest police brutality.

These agents that were fired were likely exercising their 1st amendment right of free speech to express their support for racial justice.

That they are being fired for supporting racial justice speaks volumes about the scared white people at the helm of the USA.

[–] jcs@lemmy.world 22 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Just a single sliver of indirectly-related memory-paraphrased context which may hopefully be helpful:

I worked for the U.S. government from 2010-2018. In my new-hire handbook, government employees and contractors were directed to not portray a political alignment while working in an official capacity (say, while wearing a uniform or other identifying clothing, while using a government vehicle, etc) regardless of political party. We were allowed normal civilian rights if presenting as a civilian. Some form of administrative action was mentioned if this rule was broken, presumably up to and including termination of employment.

[–] Arcka@midwest.social 2 points 3 days ago

Which of their actions do you think portrays a political alignment?

[–] itztalal@lemmings.world 6 points 3 days ago

We're going to need a new government to oppose this one.

[–] Adderbox76@lemmy.ca 8 points 3 days ago

Hello lawsuit my old friend...

[–] WhatGodIsMadeOf@feddit.org 15 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Organized crime owns America.

Whitney Webb is is right.

Its not far fetched at all...

the American lifestyle keeps people naive on purpose. I said American but in truth all this shit is bigger than America. It's most of the 1st worlds and they are prepping for a new world ownership.

Its like nations aren't nations anymore... They are a product or a tool. The nations made people stupid and naive and the people that understand chaos on a higher level get to use the people of the nation for their own agendas. It's like the regular people are product. It's like regular citizens are farm animals. ...cattle. and all the individuallity and fake freedom of consumerism was our feed. And it doesn't matter if you were successful enough to become a politician or FBI agent or CIA... If you made it to those successful positions it still doesn't mean you're not getting used and played out. The corruption of evil is deeply intertwined in every single aspect of life and sub cultures, from the streets to the mainstream. It's easier to just buy shit and consume, or submit to the false dreams of what is considered "success" then it is to admit that's reality.

Understand modern war. And understand it's not about you or your nation.... Because you are just the tools for someone else's agenda and it doesn't matter if your joe dumbass in the street or at a dead end job or if you're in the FBI or a politician... You can still be the tool of something dark. In American politics it practically blatant. This is all so far beyond traditional average taught politics and socialology.

I suggest watching and reading the links... It all seems to click and create an ah-ha moment, but it's still not tangible?... But it seems more real than anything else ever peddled to me. It seems like it's the truth more than anything else.

The deatheaters are taking over the ministry of magic.

[–] pulsewidth@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Ministry of Magic was always totalitarian. They police all magic: even though it's an innate inborn skill they control your right to use it. They monitor everything and give no privacy: any use of magic is instantly known. Azkaban, their only prison, is heinously criminal: indefinite solitary confinement, no visitors, cruel and unusual punishment, common knowledge it "regularly drives prisoners insane". And of course they also monitor house elf magic (like when Dobby performs a levitation spell at Harry's aunt & uncles house - instant owl letter), and assist gladly with the subjugation and slavery of that race for benefit of the ruling class. Operate in secrecy from the majority of society too, and wipe all knowledge from muggles of their existence and powers, and punish any magic-born that attempt to share knowledge or even perform magic in their presence accidentally.

Prior to (and coexisting with) the Ministry is the Wizengamot Council, whom were both the parliament and high court and also housed at the Ministry of Magic on the second floor. So no separation of power between legislation, the courts, and the police system. Simply plebs, and the elite; whom were both the judge, jury, and worked in the same building with the executioner.

That all went fine while 'benevolent' wizards and witches were at the helm. But the Deatheater takeover was inevitable due to the incredibly centralized power, lack of citizens rights and freedoms, and secrecy / broad lack of public accountability.

Where the hell am I going with this? Oh, right: fuck all of Harry Potter's governing system, and shout loud anytime your rights are taken away or power consolidated, because totalitarianism attracts power-hungry monsters.

[–] bagsy@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Wow, that was an amazing analysis. I like your style. You would make a hell of a journalist, i think.

[–] pulsewidth@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

I have no idea how to react to compliments - but thank you, that's kind.

[–] DreamAccountant@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago (1 children)

You think they should be trying to reduce the amount of hate, but their goal is to increase the amount of hate. I agree with you. Reducing the amount of hate is key to a stable society.

[–] arin@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

Stable maga Nazi society

[–] Alexstarfire@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago

Are these two events even related? The kneeling happened 5 years ago and the article says it was around 20 agents let go. Says they were also reassigned last spring, which was under Biden.

Why were they all let go?

[–] Mr_Dr_Oink@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

Answer is in the question.

[–] RandAlThor@lemmy.ca 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)
[–] WiredBrain@lemmy.ca 11 points 3 days ago

This is so beyond flakes. This is the fascist purge of the "disloyal" before a full on dictatorship...

[–] Plurrbear@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

Pulling the, “Colin Kaepernick” play huh?

Embarrassing! Freedom of speech but only for, “THEE not ME” strategy… lovely!

America is crumbling, we can’t even make it past 250 years, savages are ruling the country!

Time to “throw our tea” in the ocean and protest!

The corruption of evil? Can you explain what you mean by the corruption of evil?

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world -4 points 3 days ago (3 children)

How?

  1. acknowledge the genocide would have continued under either party, regardless. Don't educate yourself that no country holds sway over another - it's working so well with Russia, NK, Iran, Cuba, etc. and that no one person flips a country's policies on a dime.

  2. latch on to one statement that one candidate said in a political setting that triggers an issue you think you can signal, so you can turf over your own personal biases about that candidate

  3. ignore the proven track record of revenge, pettiness, narcissism of the other candidate. I'm gonna leave out any attempts at insurrection, association with pedophiles, corscion, intimidation and gross negligence in his business and personal interests

  4. either sit it out your vote, or vote in protest because you didn't prefer either candidate and the parties owe it to you, to present you with blatantly palatable choices, never mind that one is obviously going to destroy the country

  5. act surprised that a candidate you didn't want rises to the highest office in the land, then proceed to double down on the above when everything cones crashing doen around you.

  6. Do everything except 1)

That's how.

[–] PolydoreSmith@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

I’ve never read anything that’s so convoluted and yet so stupid at the same time. Congrats!

[–] lowleekun@ani.social 0 points 2 days ago

No country holds sway over another - that's gotta be most moronic ape shit i have red in a long time so thanks.

I hope you are a U.S. citizen

Maybe I'm just drunk but it seems like you commented on the wrong post
