Headphone - HD6xx. I wasn’t that impressed with anything besides how good people’s voices sounded on discord

IEM - Tangzu Heyday

[–] SgtBrassBallz@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

My Monarch MKII is the thing I use the most, over my other headphones or IEMs. A lot of the time I have found that I just don't want something on my head.

shure aonic 4 and the 6xx :D

Travel: bone conduction Onn. Wireless Cans: no purchases this year! Lcd x wins 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023

[–] Iamaspicylatinman@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I got my hands on the FIIO FH7 OG which are fantastic. An older model but still a great performer.

Iem: sennheiser ie200 Can: sennheiser hd560s

Commute and noise cancelling needs: bose qc45, most comfortable headphones I've ever used.

[–] khanh_nqk@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

IEM: IE200. Killed my urge to buy any other IEMs

Can: Sennheiser Momentum 3. Got it for dirt cheap and could be used almost anywhere (compared to my wired options).

[–] NordschleifeGT3@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Headphone: HD600(Sidegrade from HD660S) couldn’t stand how bright they were coming from the 660S but after my brain adjusted to them, they became my daily drivers, they just sound so right

IEM: Moondrop Kato

AMP: Feliks Echo Mk2

[–] widowhanzo@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

IEM: Truthear Zero Red

TWS: Moondrop Space travel

Dongle: JCALLY JM20

Cable: Tripowin Zonie

And this is also all that I bought this year.

[–] GimmickMusik1@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

IEM: N/A

Headphones: N/A

Wireless: N/A

Dac: N/A

Amp: N/A

Cables: A new USB cable be my other one kept causing a spike that would lock up my DAC. (3 months so far without the issue returning)

… have I reached the end of the bell curve? Is this enlightenment? In all seriousness, I’m currently just very happy with my current collection. I truly adore the Sundara, and the Edition XS is also great. The DT 770 Pro is an excellent daily driver due to its comfort over long sessions, and the ATH-AD500X is a fun headphone for just laid back listening.

[–] fabiolives@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Headphones: Audeze MM-100

Amp/DAC: Fiio K7

I’ve loved this combo and there’s really nothing I’d change about it at this point.

Even if that is used it represents an incredible sound quality per dollar.

[–] kikirevi@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Yeah. The pads and the headband are worn as fuck but not falling apart and are still structurally sound.

Honestly, even since I paid for the Arya Stealth, which as many have said, was not worth at its original price when it came out, it’s been such a kick in the nuts that I’ve never bothered to look at new headphones.

I know it’s purely subjective, but I just think a lot of them are overpriced as fuck. And it’s crazy how their resale value is so much less compared to the retail.

I’ve always had my eye on the Clear, as I always had a feeling the microfibre material of the pads and the headband were enough to make any preowned Clear’s value tank lol.

But yeah, it’s probably the best value audio purchase I’ve ever done. Period.

[–] Ncis16@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Got momentum 4 this year for 250. A steal

[–] GamePro201X@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Headphones: HEDDphone ONE

That was my only purchase of the year! But I’m totally fine with that because this is my endgame headphone. Never heard anything that sounds better (which isn’t ludicrously expensive). All I need now is a better amp and I’ll be done with my head-fi journey

[–] bigoteeeeeee@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

amp and dac: fiio k7.

[–] Hercule-Porotta@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

iem: Kiwi ears Cadenza

Its good but after having a pair of Andromedas, I feel like hd600 is missing something regardless the amp/dac I pair it with.

[–] ishmeister@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Truthear Red was my only purchase this year and therefore automatically qualifies as the best purchase.

Hard to decide between hd800s and meze 109 pro. I might give it to the 109 considering the price and how its just good for any song you listen to.
