So, not really.
Frozen 2 came out in 2019. 1.45b in 2019 is roughly 1.83 billion.
Records will always eventually be broken because of inflation as long as movies do well.
Do we need to do it in Zimbabwe dollars?
Furries doing some heavy lifting on this one. I think Disney knows this though.
They've known it since they animated Robinhood in 1973. 
There's one track with an interesting name, could also be a pun on fur + fursuit, but nevertheless, it's titled "Hot Fursuit".
I'll assume Z2 is willing to have a story that says genocide is wrong.
In fact it literally does.

It's a sequel to a good movie, and is itself also a good movie.

Because it’s not for adults to see it once and grade it against Schindler’s List, it’s for kids who think it’s the best thing they've ever seen and want to watch it five times in five days (bringing one or two parents with them each time).
Do parents really take their kids to see the same movie multiple times? My parents never did. Multiple viewings when it is available to watch at home make sense, but going to a theater wasn't a spur of the moment activity at least for my home.
How much of this is actually ticket inflation? I wish these things were tracked by viewers than revenue.
Frozen 2 was released in 2019; according to google, the average movie ticket price was $9.16 (in the US). In 2025, the average ticket price is between $11.31 and $16.08 depending on source (again according to google). Since it only beat out Frozen by 10 million dollars, the inflation is the reason Zootopia 2 won that particular comparison.
On the other hand one could also argue that more people would have seen it if the tickets had been cheaper, but I think it's a pretty safe bet that inflation is the reason.
All that said, it's just a legitimately good movie. It deserves credit for that.
And my only question is: Does Zootopia 2 have any original songs, as Frozen did? 🤔
(I haven't seen it yet 😩)
