I've lived here over a decade with no shelving in the shower, and I finally bought an organizer! This has been a huge quality of life upgrade, it's great having everything off the floor within reach. The shelving was super easy to install and I feel dumb tolerating the situation for so long.

Uh - lol hopefully. I didn't look specifically for that. Selling a product that can rust intended for a wet space sounds absurd. Now I'm questioning.
Reminds me of the bit about the mildew remover saying to use in a well ventilated area. If it was well ventilated there wouldn’t be mildew.
Eh, I had one that was white painted steel, but wasn't coated on the inside at all.
It rusting hadn't occurred to me until I went to remove it almost ten years later and the joints between sections just crumbled to bits.
Held up quite well considering. They're pretty cheap and replaceable when/if it's a problem.
I bought one just like this like ten years ago, but it's plastic shelves and aluminum rod. Mine doesn't look bad, but yours looks much nicer.
Do you all know how to pick? What do I look for?
I bought one not long ago and didn't chrap out because of this but idk how to pick them besides not choosing the cheapest one possible.
Also do you know how to take care of them? I bought hard water remover and spray and use a cloth to buff it off but besides that I have no idea what to do. It rusted to black spots in some sparse places, I'm assuming it's rust.

0W-20 was my go-to, but the seperate soap and shampoo are definitely better for smelling fresh.
Funny though, lowest bottle is just a backup since I have space now.

That's a soap organizer though, not a shower organizer. I was hoping for photos of your massive bath house with 20 specialty showers that you need to keep organized. Disappointed.

Mark my words it will get scuzzy but it doesn't matter the storage space is totally worth it. Use a foaming cleaner and something like a general purpose toilet brush type thing and get that joker clean every once in awhile.

I had this experience two years ago. Been struggling recently with water leaking around the rim of the tub and getting my drywall wet, realized last week that the super strong spring mine had was splitting the caulking. Took about ten service requests to my landlord to fix.
Yours looks nicer though.
Woah it seperated your caulk?? Between your experience and the other comment said it expanded through their ceiling, I'm going to to revisit this spring tightness.

That is new too! I swore by wash rags for a long time but the stick is nice. Gets the backside real good.
Are those mounted on a verical bar? I have some shelves that are mounted using adhesive pads and they work okay, but I like the idea of something a little more permanent.
You got it! The vertical bar is spring loaded and gets shoved into place, then the shelves have rubber pieces that clamp around the bar.

Are the screws on the top and bottom? I was thinking I need to get a platform one and screw it in, but this rod with multiple platforms looks better.
I've had this exact shelf. It's held by tensioning.
OP: Be really careful that you don't make this so tight that the rod expands when it gets warm and eventually causing a hole in your ceiling.
Ask me how I know.
Oh geez, I didn't think it was strong enough to punch a hole in the ceiling! Thank you for the warning, my whole shower is tiled top and bottom. Hopefully it can't get through that heh. Sorry that happened though, awful.
I have one that looks just like that but without the rod. Maybe the rod in the picture isnt part of it. Mine holds on the wall with two adhesives. It also came with screws but i didnt use them as the adhesives are holding on just fine, and its been a few months already.
No screws for this one. The rod has multiple connecting segments to get "close enough" to the needed height. Then the top segment is height adjustable for about 15 cm and spring loaded. Each end of the rod has a wide rubber foot to prevent moving and the spring tensions the whole rod between the ceiling and floor.
Here's everything that is ever in my shower:
1 wash cloth
1 bar of Ivory, unscented basic soap
1 bottle of shampoo, but only when my hair is longer, otherwise I just use the bar soap.
That's all anyone needs, the rest is marketing you fell for.
If that works for you, awesome. However for me Cetaphil cleanser is the truth, not just marketing. I used to deal with oily skin and face acne all my life. Since I added it to my routine years ago my face is always clear and smooth.
