Woohoo!! As an nyc resident i can't even describe how much nicer it is having outdoor dining sheds instead of parked cars. Like it really makes the whole city feel so much more exciting and alive! Last year when the sheds got replaced by parked cars it made the city so much more drab and dull

It cannot be overstated how much more lively and inviting the streetscape is due to outdoor dining.
Good. Outdoor dining is great. Fuck all those cars wasting space
If this gets entrenched, maybe TO would copy. The temp patio installations during the pandemic were amazing.
Why is this lady trying to sell me some property here?
Do they have those outdoor flame tower heater things in NYC yet? I wouldn’t eat outside in the winter without one, but the last time I was in NYC (near a decade ago, so before most of the recent walkability efforts) I didn’t see any. It was a real surprise to move to southern California and see them for the first time in a much warmer climate (even if the nights do get pretty chilly).
They don't use those because there are better options for nyc since space is so tight. The sheds usually have roofs, so in the cold weather they just put plastic over the windows and use space heaters attached to the rafters

I'd be more worried about losing all my body heat. Even with a tent you still need heaters.
