If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

The only thing going here is that, as the tin foil hat people say, there is no such thing as "ex-CIA".
Per the 25th:
Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue [of the presidents inability to govern] ... determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.
It's easier to impeach him rather then hit him with the 25th, impeachment doesn't take his cabinet and 2/3 of the House and Senate to do it. It just takes a majority of the house and 2/3 of the Senate. Considering that didn't work the previous couple times, I doubt something that adds an extra layer along with a more difficult vote would either.
Maybe one could argue something like "They're waiting until after the two year mark so Vance can get the benefits of being the incumbent while also getting two terms" but c'mon, Vance is a charisma black hole. No shot that's the plan. IMO until the outcry drops his approval to like, sub 20, R's aren't going anywhere near getting rid of Trump, and even then I have my doubts.
Yeah the 25th is more for "the president had a stroke, but the administration is working well", impeachment is for "the president is evil and insane but maintains support with his die hards". Impeachment requires crimes or behaviors unbefitting the office, it requires you actually do something wrong. The 25th is far more of a way to remove a president without saying they did anything wrong, it would suck to get it, but it isn't necessarily a shameful thing.
If they invoke the 25th, they do not have to take that as a political loss. Something like "Trump got demented, we got rid of him, but his politics were still good" ...

I doubt they'll get Trump removed, but all this talk will have an influence on our military personnel, and when he orders some insane atrocity, like firing on American citizens, or launching a nuke, it is much more likely that the person pulling the trigger, or pushing the button, will remember this, and choose to not comply.

There are numerous reports of pushback by soldiers at bases around the world about this war.
Soldiers don't mind going to war for competent leaders, but they recognize when their leaders are calling for war for bad reasons, or in this case for no discernable reason at all. Apparently, they aren't as enthusiastic about that.
People talk about this like it’s just something you can do so easily, pretty sure the requirements require the Vice President and like most of Congress to all turn on Trump and since we all know they’ll sell their entire families down the river for Trump, we can also assume they’ll die before invoking the 25th Amendment.
FR impeachment is far more likely, and with these dipshits it's unlikely.

There's another amendment written with people like Trump in mind too, but since that one involves bloodshed people really don't want to go for it. Neither do I, frankly, not if there is any other way. Think we may be running out of road on other options though. I can only hope things are resolved before it becomes necessary. Trump is a tyrant, however and he acts as though he is a king. Founding fathers were pretty clear on what to do about those. Hopefully more civil methodology will prevail.

We don't need Trump removed and replaced with another right wing Luddite. The whole diseased Republican party and everything they currently stand for needs to be done away with. The rot is not one man, The rot goes all the way to the core. Trump just gave the others the permission and validation to more openly be as vile as they previously were in private.
The Democratic party are no saints, but there is at least a chance of turning them around with the right people, policies, and regulations.

John Brennan served as Obama's CIA Director for four years. During that time - I've been told - foreign governments infiltrated our media and party establishment and legislature, corrupted our democratic process, and handed a known agent of a foreign government the position of Chief Executive.
This known agent was a co-conspirator of another well-known blackmailer and professional pedophile, serving as an agent of a foreign intelligence service within the United States for over four decades.
The CIA response to this infiltration was to... do nothing.
Meanwhile, agents within the CIA have manufactured consent for wars against Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, and North Korea for as long as our current president has been a known fence for the Russian mob. They have collaborated with the known blackmailer/pedophile for just as long. And - upon taking office - they faithfully continued to fulfill their duty as agents of a corrupt and despotic president, including through illegal arrests, extraditions, torture, arms sales, drug trafficking, and sabotage.
