Over the course of 2 decades I had 8 different ferrets. They all did this; it was adorable and hilarious.

Evolutionary origin of ADHD?

[–] HMWYSPlease@lemmy.org 3 points 13 hours ago

...Wait until you read about how they feed/eat. Fucking brutal.

So it's probably a bad idea to get a Weasel as a pet if you have cats, huh.

Edit: Or even a small dog

[–] Washedupcynic@lemmy.ca 2 points 12 hours ago

Can confirm. I had a ferret that would jump onto the back of our terrier after war dancing around it. After witnessing that a few times we kept them separated. Our dog had no chill and didn't want to play that way.

It honestly looks wild, if you have never watched a video of it you should it is hilarious.

I've had a few friends that had weasels and they did this to me. I thought it was just them being cute.

I did not realize that they were trying to build up their limit breaker to kill and eat me.

To be fair, a lot of 'play' behaviour in cats and dog is largely hunting instinct behaviour too.

[–] rhombus@sh.itjust.works 4 points 14 hours ago

They also do it when they play with each other, so they probably were just being cute.

Too much editing in this clip

[–] blackbrook@mander.xyz 7 points 1 day ago

With the editing of this, you can't really get a proper sense of it.

[–] Photonic@lemmy.world 35 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Did you mean: “Roll, roll, roll your stoat, gently down the stream”?

merrily merrily merrily merrily life is for ice cream

[–] RamenJunkie@midwest.social 10 points 1 day ago

Ain't nothing gentle here.

"Rip and tear rodent throats out, so they'll never screeeeeaaaam"

(I know I know rabbits aren't rodents, but lagomorph is hard to put in a song)

[–] Curiousfur@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Rip the rabbits throat out, so it cannot scream?

[–] psud@aussie.zone 3 points 1 day ago

Go with bunny rather than rabbit, it fits better

Twice the size of them...selves?

[–] PapaStevesy@lemmy.world 2 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Yeah, I wish there was more crossover between c/science_memes and c/grammar_and_composition_memes. What does that last sentence mean at all?

[–] RampantParanoia2365@lemmy.world 2 points 46 minutes ago* (last edited 44 minutes ago)

No punctuation either its like they just typed it out as it came to mind and they hit enter does anyone want a sandwich

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 4 points 17 hours ago

yeah wtf is that sentence. I think they meant "stoats hunt animals twice their size" and royally fucked it

[–] MonkeMischief@lemmy.today 2 points 1 day ago

At first I was a little annoyed by the change of "Revolt" messenger to "Stoat."

...I like it better now!
