Yeah, nearly any given day, he's committing impeachable offenses.

Good luck getting the criminal party that is the conservative party to lift a finger about any of it, though. They are either total pussies or down for it.

[–] Microtonal_Banana@lemmy.zip 9 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Sure.. impeach him a third time. That will definitely stop him.

[–] glitch1985@lemmy.world 1 points 14 hours ago

Let's make it an even 10 and see if anything changes.

[–] espentan@lemmy.world 30 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

A US president can, apparently, do whatever he wants without consequences.

If only a president that wasn't a moronic, self serving asshole had thought of that trick.

[–] Headofthebored@lemmy.world 9 points 19 hours ago

You just need a majority in congress nearly entirely owned by your interests who would prefer not to do anything about it. Party is irrelevant.

[–] daychilde@lemmy.world 4 points 14 hours ago

Impeachment is a political process and Congress is controlled by fascists.

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 6 points 16 hours ago

Just using the taxpayers as his own personal bank for handouts to cronies.

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 25 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

Just like at least a dozen other impeachable offenses.

[–] LadyButterfly@reddthat.com 2 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Yep add it to the fucking pile

[–] Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world 1 points 15 hours ago

Don't put it next to the pile of felonies, otherwise it'd look miniscule by comparison

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 4 points 15 hours ago

Well congressman, are you waiting for us to do it?

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 36 points 1 day ago

So is raping kids. Yet he is still in office.

[–] WatDabney@lemmy.dbzer0.com 95 points 1 day ago (2 children)

No shit?

Exactly what happened is that Trump filed a bogus lawsuit then his crony at the Justice Department arranged for a bogus "settlement" so that Trump could get a slush fund from which to dole out money to other cronies.

It's blatant and overt fraud, and both of them should go to prison.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 14 points 1 day ago (1 children)

So the idiot Roberts court ruled that he can't be sued, but he can still sue others? What could possibly go wrong?

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

Not even sue others, he pretty much sued himself

[–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 4 points 16 hours ago

Sued himself, but for our money.

[–] ExtremeDullard@piefed.social 62 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Trump does 5 impeachable things every day.

But it will only cause him to be impeached if the GOP turds in the house and the senate grow a conscience and get onboard with, ya know, upholding the Constitution.

[–] chaogomu@lemmy.world 17 points 1 day ago (4 children)

Recent polls have Democrats winning in a landslide in November.

And we're still months away with Trump fucking up more every day.

And not just ruining America, but making the lives of his supporters harder and then saying he doesn't care.

Trump forgot the first rule of dictators, never openly betray your base.

The less committed Trump supporters are actually abandoning him. And that's wild. It gives me hope.

The true believers will never leave, but there aren't enough of them to force everyone else to follow. They will try, but likely fail, much like Orban failed in Hungary.

[–] Schmoo@slrpnk.net 5 points 19 hours ago

Even if we get a Democratic majority they could still easily disappoint us if the wrong ones win their primaries.

[–] ExtremeDullard@piefed.social 9 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (4 children)

Trump forgot the first rule of dictators, never openly betray your base.

This doesn't hold true for Trump because his base doesn't have the mental capacity the good lord gave to turkeys: Trump can hurt them and insult them all he wants, they come back for more.

Don't bet on the Democrats winning the midterms too fast: if Trump and his henchmen don't rig the elections, I wouldn't put it past his dumb MAGA minions to pull a rabbit out of the hat.

Elons ex just whistleblowed that Elon stole the 2024 election for Trump. Trump also said it in the start, some quote about Elon knowing election computers.

I even believe that he created in 2020, and that is how he is so sure biden did too. Because how else could he lose when he was cheating? But i think he learned that he needs to cheat more 🤷‍♂️

If ANYONE think there will be a democratic landslide while Trump and his cronies have the power, they are a fool. America is less of a democracy than Russia by now.

Recent polls have Democrats winning in a landslide in November.

And luckily the republicans won't have rigged it.

Then impeach him.

If you're a US citizen remember that each time you pay your taxes you are just paying Donald Trump.

[–] innermachine@lemmy.world 6 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

Don't remind me. If I didn't know the state would come take my fucking house away I'd not be paying s penny in taxes, but alas the fuckers have me by the short and curlies. Not much choice.

[–] Blumpkinhead@lemmy.world 5 points 20 hours ago (2 children)

You can stop having federal taxes taken out of your paycheck. Just set whatever amount aside in an interest bearing account until tax time next year and pay it then.

You can at least deny them the money until then, and maybe earn a little interest on it instead.

[–] jj4211@lemmy.world 4 points 17 hours ago

They will hit you with and underpayment penalty, and they'll actually get a pretty decent amount more than they would have otherwise gotten from you...

[–] ExtremeDullard@piefed.social 4 points 19 hours ago

Just set whatever amount aside in an interest bearing account

An interest-bearing account you say? I haven't seen that in years.

[–] inclementimmigrant@lemmy.world 2 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

Neoliberal Democrats in power don't have the stones to do that kind of bold action.

[–] jj4211@lemmy.world 1 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Yes, because the democrats are the ones to blame for why it will never ever get to a senate conviction...

[–] inclementimmigrant@lemmy.world 0 points 14 hours ago

No, that would be because of Senate Republicans.

But no, you're right, with Democrats when facing odd that are not in your favor, even with it's the right thing morally to do, is to never try to begin with because it's too hard.

Thanks party of Homer Simpson for teaching us that the lesson is to never try.

Sorry, did he say "where are the Epstein Files?" I could've sworn...

[–] Soulphite@reddthat.com 40 points 1 day ago

Every day trump wakes up is an impeachable offense.

[–] kurmudgeon@lemmy.world 19 points 1 day ago

And the worst part is, they still haven't released all the Epstein files. Also, Donald Trump raped children.

[–] IHeartBadCode@fedia.io 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

And?

They are never going to remove him from office. Full stop.
