Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

I’ll put my name next to it. Stephen Miller is a soy boy beta bitch who is afraid to fight me because he knows he’d lose to a woman.

Fight me in the octagon, Miller.

[–] Malyca@lemmy.zip 7 points 9 hours ago

Aww did Mommy have to punish the bullies? Poor Stephen!

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 3 points 9 hours ago

Republicans hate whistleblowers.

[–] zebidiah@lemmy.ca 22 points 17 hours ago

the only reason stephen miller got into politics is because he lacks the upper body strength to strangle sex workers...

[–] itisileclerk@lemmy.world 11 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Wait, Stephen Miller has a wife? But then again, Joseph Goebbels had a wife too.

[–] Malyca@lemmy.zip 2 points 9 hours ago

She's just as bad trust me

[–] inari@piefed.zip 42 points 1 day ago (4 children)

Lmao she tried to trash this girl who is objectively cute af

[–] forkDestroyer@infosec.pub 7 points 8 hours ago

She tried to find the most unflattering picture and this was the best she could come up with?

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 8 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Every seen Katie Miller? She's ugly as fuck, too. Two ugly fucks who think the other is hot. Good, keep them away from real humans.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 5 points 10 hours ago

JFC... who cares what a politician looks like?

[–] NihilsineNefas@slrpnk.net 8 points 19 hours ago

Genuinely the kind of woman I'd be too nervous to approach at a bar (also respectfully she was wearing the shit out of that wedding dress)

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 5 points 17 hours ago

She's a solid 9, or Washington 10.5.

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 5 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

I heard that Stefan Meuller is currently overseeing the design of a new government "uniform".

[–] jwt@programming.dev 1 points 10 hours ago

Is that his German döppelgänger?

[–] Zaktor@sopuli.xyz 78 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (3 children)

How is this even a story. I've seen it in multiple papers now. What loser reporters saw this extremely minor drama and thought "the world needs to know"?

Stephen Miller IS objectively ugly, in body and soul, but even if it wasn't true, calling your opponent ugly is the most tame level of political offense, even from an official organization's account. And his wife "doxxing" a political employee by name only is also the weakest act that could possibly be described as "doxxing". This might serve as hot gossip if it took place within a local neighborhood board, but not when applied to a Nazi whose every action is an offense to society and who is serving in a regime for which politeness is actively discouraged.

Cover literally anything else. Or nothing at all! Even printing this like an important thing in politics is a minor violation of respectful interaction is actively harmful.

It's a story because Republicans NEED it to be a story. They desperately need a constant feed of "Democrats evil" to hide behind and convince The Base to be angry and keep voting for Republicans. It's a 24/7 routine, the constant grievance politics that the Reich thrives on.

[–] Rusticus@lemmy.world 4 points 15 hours ago

Funded by the billionaire class.

[–] kobra@piefed.social 16 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I've seen republicans with this take too: "Wait when did we become the thin-skinned ones?"

[–] jtrek@startrek.website 20 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Conservatives have *always" been the thin skinned ones. "Oh no black people are moving into our neighborhood we better flee and or murder them".

[–] valek879@sh.itjust.works 19 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Feels like it was about 10 years ago when Republicans started calling anyone with a sense of empathy special snowflakes.

It was kind of like, "Oh you don't think I should say the n word? Well you're just a special snowflake!" Seems pretty revealing.

[–] Drusas@fedia.io 5 points 1 day ago

It was longer ago than that.

[–] tacosanonymous@mander.xyz 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I mean, it kinda gets me a little closer to burning down the establishment and dragging the current administration to the guillotine.

[–] backalleycoyote@lemmy.today 3 points 18 hours ago

Took them over a decade to start fighting back with the insults. Maybe in another ten years they’ll realize you push back against violence with violence until you clear the slate and start fresh. Just don’t fucking “reconcile” with them this time.

[–] Grabthar@lemmy.world 23 points 1 day ago

That poor woman's hand, arm and shoulder are in for a world of hurt for all the high fives she's going to be receiving this week.

A situation like this is why we need more comedians running social media accounts. It was a perfect opportunity to insult Miller. Could have said something like, "Trump administration has also broken many barriers by hiring the original Boss Baby". Or they could have alluded to the fact that Miller was so disliked, Republican staffers started a rumor he played with porcelain dolls.

The actual response is offensive, not because it uses harsh language but because it's so boring

[–] zd9@lemmy.world 33 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Temu Eva Braun and her husband will end up in the same way as the OGs, when this is all over. They aren't getting out of this to just fade into the background.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 3 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

No, they will end up rich in mansions pulling strings from backrooms until they die.

Get over this fantasy of just rewards and justice, Lemmy.

[–] zd9@lemmy.world 2 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

That's probably more likely, but depending on how bad things really get before this is over, they may not make it another few years. They had to move to a military base because all of their neighbors in Arlington, VA kept protesting outside their house. They're massive pussies, just like all fascists when met with any kind of push back.

[–] Sanctus@anarchist.nexus 1 points 7 hours ago

Historically it is not more likely. Historically, these people end up dead or fleeing their country when their regimes topple.

[–] 9point6@lemmy.world 26 points 1 day ago (3 children)

I wonder if she realises she's tied herself to the literal bottom of the gene pool

Ugly fuck is such a charitable description of him

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 1 points 17 hours ago* (last edited 17 hours ago)

We can't afford GLH hair spray.

[–] the_tab_key@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The post was referring to his personality.

[–] 9point6@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Me too

And the rest

Some people are so horrid they wear it on their faces

[–] Fishnoodle@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

Yeah, he's more of a Nosferatu gargoyle type thing

[–] Kirp123@lemmy.world 20 points 1 day ago

That media manager deserves a raise. Hopefully she stays safe now that her name and face are out there.

Katie Miller's croaking about how it's these answers that lead to violence is such bullshit. Someone should tell her that people don't get killed for being ugly but they do get killed for being transgender. She should take her ugly ass husband and go back to their military base where they can't feel threatened by some chalk drawings on the sidewalk.

[–] teslekova@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 day ago

Hehe. Looks like she hit a nerve.

[–] eestileib@lemmy.blahaj.zone -2 points 1 day ago

These are perfectly normal collars. Find a new angle.
