Nobody accidentally dropped their phone or drinks. That's suprising if it was the general public. Clutses are everywhere. Oops! Sorry! You know, one time I dropped my phone on my toe and that hurt like a beach.

[–] silence7@slrpnk.net 2 points 19 hours ago

He wasn't mingling with the crowd.

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 20 points 1 day ago

First time in my life that I've seen a U.S. president get significantly booed at numerous stadiums. Cuz this isn't the first.

Good job "conservatives". Real smooth brains you've got there.

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 33 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Gosh, I wonder why people are upset? The economy is shit, we're in a pointless war, the files haven't been released (it's comical that they expected this one), only the mega-rich are thriving… what more could USA citizens possibly want?

I'm going to be crass: I'm financially well-off and largely unaffected by the harm this shithead causes. I'm a white male in the US. I've got the ticket and it's all by random chance. His stupid fucking base voted to harm themselves and I'm not sorry they're hurting. I'm sad for all the people I care about who are getting harmed in kind. My dear friends who are trans, for example. Those who have brown skin. Government workers who genuinely wanted to work for the public good.

Every maga piece of shit can stick their tongue up my ass and die. All the innocent people who are collateral damage deserve hugs.

Every MAGAt piece of trash is a traitor to the United States of America and should be treated as such.

It is every actual American's duty to permanently hold every one of these traitor fucks in your life accountable. Family. Friends. Never let them live it down. Assuming you haven't broken off contact, like I have. I don't need subhuman trash in my life. But hey, leaving them to rot alone is a way to hold them accountable, I suppose.

I once argued with a stupid MAGA who INSISTED that Trump was "The King Of New York," and everybody loves him there.

I explained that not only does NYC despise Trump, they've always despised Trump. NYC hates that he is so closely associated with the city. NYC has had this unfortunate history with many unsavory characters, and Trump is just the latest one.

This guy insisted I was wrong, and it turned out that he has never set foot in NYC, while I live there, and my wife was born and raised here.

Yet, he still insisted that I didn't know what I was talking about, and he did: NYC LOVES Trump, and he is "The King of New York."

[–] arctanthrope@lemmy.world 53 points 2 days ago

for a decade before they elected him, they did nothing but complain about "coastal elites" controlling everything. for the decade since, it's "we love our coastal elite who controls everything"

I grew up in New Jersey. I've hated that asshole for as long as I've been aware of him, even when he was kissing the Clinton's asses.

[–] __Lost__@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Same. I grew up hearing about how much of an asshole he is to work with and how he never paid his contractors. I really don't understand how anybody around here could be maga.

Baron Von Shitzenpantz

[–] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 day ago

On kimmel last night they took the clip of him waddling away from the interview when he threw a tantrum and edited him to be in a diaper

That dude was trolling you

"Have the Rolling Stones killed".

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

This is the way America! We need to boo him every time he is in public.

[–] Murse@slrpnk.net 37 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Be nice if someone booed with something a little higher velocity.

[–] anon_8675309@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago

They’ve tried three times. The problem is you have to find someone mentally incompetent and convince them to do it. But now you have two problems because they’re mentally incompetent and can’t get it done.

[–] silence7@slrpnk.net 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

They had a huge security zone around the game to prevent that

[–] psycho_driver@lemmy.world 16 points 2 days ago (1 children)

He basically ruined the experience for all these people paying like 10k per ticket.

[–] ryathal@sh.itjust.works 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

They paid way more than that. 7.5k was the get in price, actually seeing the game was 100k+. Floor seats were 300k.

[–] Patrikvo@lemmy.zip 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

100 to 300K to see a sports game? I hope at that price point you get to pick one of the players to come to your home to mow the lawn and do the laundary.

[–] ryathal@sh.itjust.works 10 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Everyone except multi-millionaires and billionaires were priced out of that game, which makes it more egregious that Trump went. His being their closed the watch parties that would actually be accessible for regular fans. This was also as close to a crowd of the rich elite that he will ever be around, and they all hated him too.

[–] dejected_warp_core@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That's the part that's so confounding. I thought he was their guy?

[–] silence7@slrpnk.net 2 points 1 day ago

He was up until he started doing things to wreck the long-term economic growth of the US

[–] WatDabney@lemmy.dbzer0.com 46 points 2 days ago (2 children)
[–] DrSoap@lemmy.world 14 points 2 days ago (1 children)

What's he gonna do? Ban sports?

he'll Rant about the Knicks being a 3rd rate team that cheated their way into the playoffs, worst team in the history of basketball, worst fan base ever, that's what people are saying. Then make some wild accusations about having their NBA permit revoked or kick them out of NY

[–] kbobabob@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Like he would ever admit that. He gave an interview and said it "was mostly cheers". He's a fucking delusional narcissist.

[–] Flames5123@sh.itjust.works 29 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Has a president ever been so widely boo’d at sports games before Trump?

[–] SoloCritical@lemmy.world 16 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I don’t know that many presidents have gone to many public sporting events.. likely due to the insane cost to the taxpayer and… for what?

[–] Flames5123@sh.itjust.works 16 points 2 days ago

Many have gone to several sporting events because it’s a great way to show you’re “one of the people”.

But Trump is the most attended for all sporting events because he wants to be loved.

A very quick google search shows 2nd place could’ve been Nixon or W Bush because they both loved sports.

[–] innermachine@lemmy.world 22 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Uh don't know much about Toyota do you?

[–] ramble81@lemmy.zip 10 points 1 day ago

Oof, fucking forgot about that.

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 day ago

Their heads are boobs.

[–] iMastari@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

I had never seen a Toyota cry before.
