Repels mosquitoes, attracts cats. What's not to like?

[–] Onomatopoeia@lemmy.cafe 26 points 1 week ago

Well, African jungle may not be the best place to try

[–] HorikBrun@kbin.earth 24 points 1 week ago

Added bonus: makes you irresistable to cats.

Or just use icaridin based products like most of the world uses already.

We can eat black pepper every day just fine, I’m sure spraying it on your skin will be ok.

Hmm... what about fleas and ticks though

[–] Kintarian@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Welp I smeared the catnip on and the mosquitoes are gone but now I’m being chased by cats

"Technology" under capitalism means using pseudo-science to sell cancerous slop.

The most lucrative gigs would be collecting industrial waste for a fee, then selling it as a product for more profit.

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Does it attract big cats?

[–] massive_bereavement@fedia.io 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

A kind reminder that catnip doesn't just attract cats but makes them go bananas: Some go chill, some go mild, some go berserk.

I wouldn't test it on myself, but I'll pay money to see someone do.

I was going to say, this seems like a hilarious idea for someone else to try!

mosquitos attack your cats under influence of your repellent. what could go wrong.
