The Satanic Temple

I noticed there wasn't a TST Lemmy community. The Satanic Temple is a modern satanic religion that aims to promote human rights and compassion. Check out their about page on their official website at https://thesatanictemple.com/pages/about-us. Note that this community is not an official affiliation. TST is also separate and not affiliated with the Church of Satan, who have a slightly different viewpoint of what satanism truly is. Dunno what to post in here, but maybe some will search for this and take part. Hello!

Who are you? What have you got on sale?

Do you think they're what they said before?

III. One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.

This is beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing, OP. I'm going to spread the word.

For $30 or so, you can buy a certificate of membership, and a credit-card sized membership card with the tenants on the back and your name on it. All the stuff the satanic temple makes is super high quality, they even sell baphomet Christmas ornaments and hot sauces (the garlic chipotle is my favorite). All the proceeds go to their nonprofit to fight for religious freedom, like any honest church.

You don't have to pay money to join, though. The certificate is just something that looks cool and it's an inexpensive way to support the Temple.

First of all, the name of the song is hilarious: Satanic Planet "Sam Alito's Mom"

Second, this video is the closest I've ever been to going in to a hobby lobby. In Seattle, we have Artist & Craftsman, an employee owned store. The staff is awesome and will help with anything, they're an owner after all.

People who know seem to avoid Hobby Lobby. People around me talk about the alternatives like Joann and Michael's (which I think now owns Joann).

Joann's closed all their locations here

They didn't rebrand as Michael's, they just closed? I only read a short blurb about Michael's buying them, so I don't really know much more than that. I haven't even checked around here, where Joann used to be, but I think it might be the same scenario, they may have simply closed. I'll have to look if I remember next time I'm over there.

depicting a woman performing a simulated satanic 'abortion ritual' inside a women's restroom at a Hobby Lobby store

After taking abortifacient drugs, the woman prayerfully sits on the toilet before flushing her baby.

I'm getting an idea of which way IBTimes leans.

Satanic Planet, a band including The Satanic Temple co-founder Lucien Greaves, released the track titled 'Sam Alito's Mom'.

I didn't know what hobby lobby was when I first went into one.

I saw a whole section full of religious stuff, and it had some really overtly offensive stuff... I ranted about it loudly, then left without buying anything.

I'm not religious but if I had to be I know which religion I'd pick up.

John Ramirez can suck a bag of dicks.

"Okay, article's almost done, but we need a counterpoint to make it balanced."

"How about this guy who says he found Jesus after living in Hell for 25 years?"

"Sure, why not."

[–] whyNotSquirrel@sh.itjust.works 19 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Ramirez, who claims to have been a warlock until a supernatural experience of hell led him to Jesus Christ, noted he previously used to astrally project his consciousness to invoke demonic power.

what was he taking at the time? I'd like to try it also

They needed a place to film that didn’t have barcodes.
