I'm not a horror fan, but I love the final destination movies. (Maybe they are more a comedy than horror)

Obsession was fucked.
Mr Crocket haunted me for a while
US news
The actual answer is Martyrs
Make sure it's the 2008 French original, not the 2016 American remake!
There is only one true answer to this question, only one true horror film ever made. Don't watch it, but even so I will add the title below -
Eraserhead.
Two words:
Event Horizon.
did a ctrl f and did not see sinister yet. scariest thing I have seen in the recent era but it is over 10 years old.
The Return of the Living Dead (1985) - old classic teen gang horror zombs
The Blob (1988) - acidic
Sinister(2012) - biggest heart rate bpm jump increase
The Platform(2019) - good societal critique
Paranormal Activity and Insidious are pretty good.

I mean do you want spooky horror or like real life horror, real life I say Come and See, spooky is really hard to call depending on tastes, but John Carpenters The Thing is both creepy and good, Event Horizon might be a good addition too.
Also, Roar, horrifying in a very unique way
Exorcist for the mainstream.
Hereditary for the slightly twisted.
The Sadness for the truly broken souls.
EDIT: Some honorable mentions:
- The Dark and the Wicked
- The Strangers
- The House That Jack Built
- Anything else by Lars von Trier
- The Mist
- Evil Dead 2016
- Event Horizon
- Night/Dawn of the Dead (honestly I like the DotD remake best)
- The Last of Us
EDIT: Forgot to mention Aterrados and When Evil Lurks
Event Horizon is a really good one. It disturbed the fuck outta me.
And it has the best horror movie reaction/decision ever: “We’re leaving. 😐”
A reasonable reaction.
I'm not so easily affected by horror movies.
The best horrifying movie recently was Sirat. Definitely a must watch for everyone, a groundbreaking film.
But a stupid movie called the Fall was the toughest watch for me. I guess I'm afraid of heights. It's not very good though.
Have to add, "Nuevo Orden". Didn't really like the movie that much but have to say it was effective.
Megan is Missing
Terrifier 1 & 2
Human Centipede 1 & 2
I Spit on Your Grave 1 & 2
A Serbian Film
don't watch A Serbian film, for anyone reading this.
Seconded. I was one of the people that read about it being an anti-censorship statement, and watched it. It's not so much a movie as it is a series of the worst things the director could think of. Whatever anti-censorship message he tried to get across gets lost quick.
It's bad to the point of wasting your time. If you’re still curious, read a synopsis 'cause honestly that's miles better than sitting through the actual movie.
I stumbled across a neat YouTube channel called ALTER that posts some really excellent horror short films. Check out "Other Side of the Box"
The Notebook.
