so f is a function that yield a value between the ribbons bounded by cos and sin scaled by r, which is just a linear line, and then you define the axis t itself as a mapping that multiplies 3/2 to everything.

It's a parametric plot of an object that goes from straight down at 0.5 units, then expands to 3 units in a 45ยฐ upright angle.
originally I parameterized r as r(t) = (1-t)lenght_0 + t * lenght_1, but then I subbed t in because it doesn't actually start at zero, which made it ugly
