Maybe it wasn’t just Draymond who didn’t want people to see him play without Steph at this point in his career.

There’s literally no argument for Wemby over Chet at this point. Even a cursory look at the numbers and it’s not even a little bit close.

Wemby is frankly benefitting from his team being so bad that nobody is actually watching the spurs to watch the spurs, so he can go 4-15 in a game but get 2-3 highlights posted and people think he played awesome.

If you wanna make the whole “Chet’s not a real rookie” argument, cool, but I’d also say that’s not quite as relevant because Victor has actual professional experience, so the advantage is nearly as big.

Wolves clearly just didn’t have the energy to play their usual brand of defense. Gotta be a top 10 rest disadvantage game of the season, especially with how taxing, especially mentally, last night’s game was. You’d think the league would figure out this kind of scheduling doesn’t just lead to injuries it also leads to bad games.

It’s not even a little bit close. Do you have any idea how insane putting up 20/10 with 40% from 3 and an AST:TO ratio of 4:1 is? Chris Paul is the only player that’s ever come close to that and he’s never been as good of a 3 point shooter as Haliburton. Tyrese is literally the perfect modern guard, unless his age 22 and so far 23 seasons are somehow massive flukes he will win an MVP or two when he gets a supporting cast that can actually defend. I’d trade every last pick we got for Mitchell and Rudy for Haliburton.

The wolves might have a historically good defense.

Rudy obviously wasn’t himself last year. I was worried it may have just been either a straight up decline or him needing a system catered to him, but the back injuries seem like the obvious answer now. His athleticism is night and day from last year. Back problems for 7 footers are no joke.

We never had a great (or for most part even good) cast of perimeter defenders around Rudy, and we still had amazing defenses. Their ceiling with McDaniels and Edwards hounding guards is scary.

The reason I was so high on Chet coming out of college was it was clear to me he was going to be positive in basically every aspect. He would add shooting and spacing to a team, he would add a roll threat, he would add a decent amount of points but super efficient, he would add rebounding, he’d add rim protection and he’d add perimeter defense as well. He’s by no means the best at any of those things but being good at all of them while having seemingly no weaknesses as a 19 year old is absolutely special.

God help the rest of the league if he develops a strong ability to create his own shot.

The best one is whatever Brown was trying to do against Gobert with 1:25 left in the video. Can’t remember somebody ever trying a shot like that.

The 98 finals featured 34 year old MJ, 34 year old Karl Malone, 35 year old John Stockton, 32 year old Scottie Pippen, 36 year old Dennis Rodman, and 34 year old Jeff Hornacek. It’s not that new.

If guys where it didn’t have to do with injury, probably Isiah Thomas. He earned his 5th and final all nba selection at 25, which is nuts to think about.

PER and DBPM are useless. Everything else is at least useful as a starting point to get a general idea of things, but shouldn’t be used by itself.

I also don’t think using most advanced stats over the course of a single playoff run are using them in the way they were intended.

Seeing as you have people arguing he’s in the conversation for best passer ever I’d have to go with yes. He’s good but not on that level.
