Nice work grabbing the THPS and the Oddworld set. You’ve got some good taste there! I burned many an hour working through Crash Bandicoot as well

We called those ones “weekend hippies”

Ghost is such a pretty game. I only played it on a ps4 pro, but I’d love to play it on a built gaming rig someday. Iirc, Jin will put his hand out to touch the grass while walking through those fields as well. I think that it’s a wonderfully humanising thing to see

Jesse can invite me over to The Oldest House for some “twister” anytime

Many thanks for that. Those look like reasonable places to start mapping out strategy and hardware investments.

So, I had to go nuclear and I’ve ended up with only a singular cloud backup of what was a Synology DS 412+.

The backup itself is through the Synology Amazon Glacier app.

I’m looking to ultimately move the data away from both Amazon and Synology.

My question then falls into two parts:

  1. Am I able to extract said archive from Amazon without using the Synology app?

  2. If the above is not possible, am I able to run the Synology os on hardware not from Synology itself?

I do understand the data extraction can end up being pricy even at a mere 12TB. I’m okay with that. That’s the price we’ve accepted for making it easier to move across the world.

Depends on what you’re selling, I guess

I’ve got a gaggle of kookaburras in the neighborhood too. Only a few lorikeets and an occasional cockatoo.

We always joked about how wild it was that the meteor just barely missed the highway out there

Probably for the better. Even with it having Milla Jovovich, it wasn’t very good.

A blast from the past.

Cyberdyne Systems, Wayland-Yutani Corporation, Tyrell Corporation, or Arasaka Corporation? Something else?
