Some players embrace contact and some don't. Wemby currently does not. If I had to guess, I'd say Pop is a lot less enthused about Wemby than he'd like to be.
Kid doesn't fear the moment. Also plays within his limits. Him and SGA are and absolute problem today, let alone in a few years when Chet develops a middie (playoffs) bag.

The discourse around this has been so muted vs what it'd be if it was Jordan Poole or Dillon Brooks. We'd have about 5 posts at the top of this sub already if that was the case.
Man if the Thunder trade a few seconds rounders and Giddey to the Rockets for us to cut him....I'll know time is a flat circle.
I'm going to just laugh because people actually thought the Spurs were going to be a potential play-in team and Wemby was going to be an All Star.
The NBA is fucking hard folks. I'd temper expectations out of Wemby this year and next. He has a lot of bad habits to unlearn.
Cade Panic Meter : 6 out of 10
Hiring his cousin to be his shooting coach or whatever is a personality concern. It's his 3rd year and Jalen/Mobley frankly have similar concerns. The difference is that they can still be serviceable offensive punches off the bench or defense anchors if they never reach stardom. Cade as an unathletic dude that can't shoot and turnover prone is pretty much worthless. It's his 3rd year though so not going to panic just yet. But my eyebrow is raised.
Klay Panic Meter : 10 out of 10
Klay doesn't have the offensive capacity to make up for his defensive issues. He's old and cooked. As are the Warriors. They dynasty is over. Enjoy the remaining Steph years Dubs fans. The titles are over.

Suns +5, Clippers + 9, Blazers +28, Grizzlies +12, Kings +2, Rockets +19. If it wasn't for ref help this fanbase would be looking at Matas highlight reels right now. And in case anyones wondering, so far this season, only the Miami Heat have gotten more free throws in a game vs the Lakers than the Lakers have gotten.
