Because it's based on this season only and Garland hasn't been as good so far this season.

Using total minutes make no sense. A mid-season trade for example could mean the 6th man actually has the 5th most total minutes.

Who came up with that scheduling?

I understand that they're not in the same group for the tournament but it'd still make sense to at least give every team a game in the tournament before things advance so far that teams are getting eliminated. The Raptors played Boston a few days ago. Why not make this an in season tournament game?

I'm just surprised the league wouldn't try to include everyone early to get them on board with the tournament.
