I just use a FiiO KA3 dongle amp because it feels better to use the balanced port on my headphones, but the even the 660S2 will sound fine out of almost any headphone jack.

The best deal I got was buying the Sennheiser HD 660S2 for $500 for them to immediately go down to $400 a two later.

I didn’t get anything, but I previously bought the Sennheiser HD 660S2 for $500 just for it to immediately drop to $400 the next month.

I think you should get the Sennheiser HD 660S2 instead

The spicy treble turned me away from the DT 1990 but it’s good that it doesn’t bother you. They are better than the DT 990 for the detachable cable and probably a few other upgrades.
