I think your partner allowed or shared his collection with you because he knew you’d appreciate the value and sincerity

I think selling the collection is contradictory to what he wanted assuming what you’ve shared is true

He wanted someone to have and appreciate the collection

I dont know if your friends passing was planned or just sudden.

FWIW many of the choices identified are luxury watches

How much luxury are you willing to pay?

For Some folks, their luxury adoption cost is much higher

But at the cost of functionality.

All brands being equal, It’s still just a watch.

I like it The dials are easy to read and seem to have better lume than a marathon

I’d spend the money on them if I already didn’t have a marathon

I have a few seiko automatic divers for daily beaters

Most common are the tunas and prospex

Love their weight and girth

I’ve spent a $1500 on a luxury brand watch a few times

It got to the point where it became an obsession constantly trying obtain more expensive watches more frequently

In the end i came to the conclusion that what’s the point of buying and Wearing luxury watches if you can’t wear them publicly for fear of being robbed or assaulted?

My luxury watches collection is very small now.
