You're young. My divorce started at 42, my old kids never wanted to speak to me again, my settlement was for essentially all my money (I would keep the house and $80K of retirement), my projected income after taxes was less than my total support. Yet here I am, at 47, rebuilt and moving forward.

You're 7 years younger than I was back then.

I know a LOT of people who lost 20 years bouncing around silicon valley trying to be an early hire in a startup. Pretty sure at least one of them is now driving doordash.
