what should i buy?

question for project

Hey! I am prototyping a mockup for a college project and need some low profile speakers that can pair to each other. I would want to pair 4.

I initially bought the ones that come in a pair ( https://www.amazon.com/LEICEX-Bluetooth-Portable-Wireless-Speakers/dp/B0BPNYY61M?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=A1D5XWWXZRFZ6B) but i cant synchronize two pairs of those. So far i am not going into audio quality, so whatever speakers can be paired and are considerably small would work. Thank you!

My bad, i forgot to add the text

I'm sure this topic could potentially be offensive to true audiophiles, but as the headline states... I want my first pair of headphones to be all I need. For month's now I've become obsessed with closely following this community, and have spent dozens of hours watching every review possible of all the high-end headphones favored by this Sub.. What I have narrowed it down to, essentially, is the HE1000SE, Focal Clear MG, Arya Stealth Magnet.. If I purchase one of these, will I ever be truly satisfied with just the one pair? Or will I long for an experience that other pair's of headphones have to offer?

I use Sennheiser HD560s and I found this setting no idea if I should have it on or off, if I'm missing something with it off.

How do you guys do it?

Is it okay to keep it at the shared mode?

Do you find using the exclusive mode beneficial?

Background... About 10 years ago I started my journey with the BD 990Pro while looking for a gaming headphone. It was an eye opener for me. I discovered how good music can sound and how much more fun it can make. I was truly in love. I wouldn't call it a life changing experience but as said it was a starting point. The more I was in touch with this whole hifi thing, the more I started to hate this whole scene. It's like a life action version of the tale "the emperor's new clothes". Ridiculous. People snobbing about differences that are either not existing or in such a minor way, it basically not worth mentioning. Not even talking about sounding cables. But maybe it's just me not fitting in this show. After the 990pro experience there was just one other experience worth to mention for me: the focal sopra. This was the best I have ever heard in my in entire life. Hard to describe. Phenomenal. This was the only hifi moment I really felt like "I WANT THEM!" Truly a WOW-moment. Everything else just felt like "yeah... Nice...".

Fast forward to now... I am still happy with my 990Pro but somehow I feel like I am ready for ready the next level. I ordered the BD 1990pro but somehow they stayed way under my expectations. Different, in some ways better, in some ways even worse, like the aggressive highs. So I decided to go a step further and take a look at the kilo league. So I ordered a hifiman Arya stealth and a audeze LCD x. I listen 100% with my PC in combination with a douk amp and eq is not a problem for me. I listen to my flac/mp3 library, as well as YouTube music.

When I heard both headphones for the first time, I hated both of them, even with eq. the Arya was sometimes so shouty and unpleasing I head to turn the volume down. The LCD x was just muffy, bad and unclear. I couldn't understand why those two headphones are so popular. Now, after a week got used to both and I see what people like about them, even though I was disappointed not to experience the "wow-moment" which I was hoping for. They sound nice, each in there own way. And yes they sound better as my 990pro, but do they sound a 1000 bucks better?

I wanted to give each a fair chance and used them both for longer sessions. On some days the Arya, on some days the x. I started to build a preference towards the Arya. Wearing them is like not wearing them. :D they are barley noticable. Super lite and super comfortable. Brilliant! The lcdx is ok... I come along with it's weight, and if it would sound clearly better I would accept it. But this is not the case for me. Too often I would have wished for more clarity and a bit more sparkle. I listen to a wider range of genres, Pop, EDM, Rock, Classic/ Soundtracks (not much metal or hiphop). The Arya is doing it better for me in this genres.

I don't want to talk about sound stage much. This is something I really struggle with. I can tell if a headphone sound a bit wider or a bit more narrow but honestly they are both doing great and I couldn't pick a winner here. I am always surprised when people talk about how much of the different there is or they sound like listening to a pair of stereo speakers. Wut?! At least for me, the music is between my hears.

That's it? Not quite. I know I will return the lcdx, that's for sure. But will I keep the Arya? It's complicated. On the one hand, I really starting to like this headphones and looking forward to use them. On the otherhand it's still 1000 bucks and I am not sure if it's worth it. Where's my wow-moment? But maybe it's love on the 3rd sight (listen)? Also I am not sure about the durability. I've read some unnice things about hifiman. I have ordered the hifiman edition x to see, if they still come close enough to the Arya but for less money. Also I want to check out the focal clear MG. But honestly I don't think they can give me my wow-moment. Sorry for the long story, I just wanted to share my thoughts. I will keep you updated.

I'll start!

  • Fiio FA9: my most critical listening sessions and overall best sounding. Also one of my remaining wired headsets that make work calls sound fantastic. These rarely leave the house with the exception for work travel, no intention for mobile listening with these.
  • Sony WH-XM5: these are my go to for work travel/ out in public when I have a backpack to lug em around. The ANC and mic quality are 10/10. Sound out of the box was meh but after using the commonly used Reddit EQ, their sound is fantastic without any of the distortion. Never seen a set react to EQ so well without any distortion. Having great sound wirelessly has been a big QOL upgrade for me. Love having LDAC with high quality streaming.
  • Fidelio X1's: were my daily driver's for about 7 years until the FA9's. I now use them when the family is asleep, I click em into my BTR3 and connect to the TV, and get a cinematic experience. Their sound signature and soundstage make shows/movies/games MUCH more enjoyable when I cannot use the home theater setup. Otherwise, for music, they're a little too easy going, I prefer something on the warmer end of neutral. Lacks the texture and resolution of the FA9's.
  • Google Pixel Buds 2: These are my grab and go's, my daily beaters that integrate well with my pixel. Meh sound quality, decent call quality, sweat resistant. Most likely will upgrade to the WF-XM5's as their sound is becoming evident as a dramatic downgrade to my other sets

This store is selling the Mangird Tea2 for around $200 before tax. I got my total down by taking advantage of pretty much the max discounts:

  1. $4 off every $20 for certain items, up to $16 max

  2. $60 off $300

With the discounts spread across all the items in my order, the Tea2 came out to effectively $183 after tax. Pretty sweet deal if it’s legit!

First if all I would like to thank the mods for allowing this post. Although they said I could post unaffiliated links, I will be safe and won't be posting any links.

As usual I will be following the dyslexia writing guide by the British Dyslexia Association for writing this post.

This took quite a bit of time, if you liked it I would appreciate if you could subscribe to my YouTube channel! If you don’t wish to that’s completely fine to, hope you have found something you needed.

Before looking at the deals read these few points:-

  1. Dont buy anything you don’t need

  2. Only upgrade if you have the need to or you have the extra money to, times are tough everywhere.

  3. But that doesn’t mean don’t buy anything, because some deals are really good and probably the best deal for that product you want to buy.

  4. I am sharing this list in which I will include some deals from some website’s and some Aliexpress stores, its impossible to share all deals so only some highlighted deals will be shared by me.

  5. I wont be sharing any links, simple search the store name and the product during the sale date.

  6. After buying be patient as it might take time to ship as this is a big sale in China and people in warehouse and other parts of the supply chain work overtime to keep up to the massive surge in demand.

  7. Obviously I haven't reviewed many stuff in the list, so this isn't me saying you to buy this but to rather make you aware of the best deal of a particular product.

  8. This isn’t an ultimate guide, although I try my best rounding up the deals.

  9. I will be bit rough when writing this and all the currency will be in dollar.

  10. If you make a new account in Aliexpress you do get some discount, also some stores have welcome deals and some stores based on your account has some choice deal which are discounts over existing discounts. This choice deal isn't for everyone and every country.

  11. If possible do share with that friend of yours.

  12. If I miss anything please do comment below this and share that deal.

  13. I will be rounding up the numbers like 99.99 to 100, 159.99 to 160, 112.14 to 112 etc. to make it easy for me and most of the readers. I hope that’s alright.

  14. Also different countries like brazil, france, mexico, spain, south korea etc. has different discount codes from different aliexpress stores so see to that when you order.

  15. Please do look around the websites and aliexpress stores as I possibly cannot post all deals

  16. No one is paying me to do this post, this is out of own volition.

  17. Check the price history of a product in Aliexpress from https://www.aliprice.com/ before buying and see what is the lowest price it has ever been.

  18. Please pardon me if I have miss priced any deals, if I have please do comment about it. Also as the sales go one during the week the prices may fluctuate up or down.

  19. Please pardon me for any grammatical or spelling error.

Lets get started!!

So I've just seen interstellar for the first time, and it was in IMAX. So I got the ultimate experience. After the film the first thing that came to mind was being so excited to get home, put on my DT900 Pro X, and listen to the soundtrack with my eyes closed and appreciating all the details I missed in the film. I’m very jealous of people with full on studio set ups who get to listen to this With that equipment

Just got it delivered today, the build on this thing is sweet, first song to test it with Lauv & LANY - Mean it, tested it on my android device and I was like meh, I ran it on a topping dac and amp stacked on high gain. using dolby atmos custom EQ, turned off boom 3d software and Holy!

If you are a bass head this gives a new meaning to it, The bass punches are solid and crisp almost similar to my IEM (TANGZU Zetian Wu 14.5mm Planar) noticed some Sibilance on several acoustic songs but nothing that would annoy me or that I can't adjust with volume or gain setting, more relaxed than my IEM which just slams hard on you in a good way.

If you are a big fan of open backs definitely not the headphone I would recommend but if you are open minded for a close back that is reasonably priced, this is a steal for $149

This is a keeper for my collection!

https://www.amazon.com/ZEXDOK-Headphone-Wireless-Aluminum-Accessories/dp/B0C3DD3CN1?th=1

I've been on the hunt for a headphone stand that has all the same features but taller and with sturdier, more attractive materials. I love that Zexdok incorporates a wireless phone charger that actually faces me instead of laying flat at the base. I can't find a single other option that does this. Unfortunately Zexdok is garbage for multiple reasons:

  • Too short. Any bulky headphones will bump into the phone while it's docked. Earpads hang lower than the photo on Amazon leads you to believe. If they didn't alter that photo then wow the Beats headphones are tiny.
  • Materials are too light. Doesn't take much force to knock it over and potentially damage your headphones or phone.
  • No cable management for the charger.
  • Hideous. Their dumb brand name ZEXDOK (sounds like sex talk) is in big bold letters on the front (also it's crooked on mine).

So I like to protect my hearing as much as i can. I have a cross continental plane ride to Japan coming up and i usually put ear plugs in so that i don’t lose any more of hearing.

I was wondering if there was any earbuds that have the same level of noise cancelling as an ear plug would.

I know that most “noise cancelling” is all bullshit in terms of actually protecting your ears, i was wondering if there was any noise cancelling earbuds that worked on the same level as ear plugs (preferably ones that are cheapest, thanks!)

I bought 3 different headphones: Creative Aurvana SE, Koss KSC75, Linsoul QKZ x HBB and a dongle DAC/AMP with CX31993 chip. (also all my music library is FLAC and MP3 320kbps)

As you can see, I'm very much on the cheaper side, but I did my research and got hype reading how these two headphones (Aurvana Se and KSC75) are kings and can beat a lot of pricier headphones. I bought qkzxhbb because I listen to some heavy bass focused EDM music, that's like 30% of my library, the rest is orchestral/classical and pop music.

I was disappointed at first, not because they sound bad but because I expected so much more. I come from cheap bluetooth headphones (Soundpeats Q35 HD) so I was expecting a LOT of improvement (again, because people say they can beat $100-200 dollar headphones).

As the days went by I was trying Oratory and Autoeq presets and I think they improved, not only because I found good equalizations but also because I got used to the headphones.

So this is my final conclusion:

Creative Aurvana SE: very good with Oratory EQ and some bass adjustments, it is perfect to be on my computer all day. It is also VERY light and comfortable. I love how well it goes with all the musical pieces I throw at them BUT not all of them surprised me, just some.Isolation don't exist on these.

Koss KSC75: every time I swap from Aurvana SE to these I almost regret buying the Aurvana. It's incredible how good they are for only 20 bucks. They don't need EQ, but sometimes if I want some more bass I just add 5 dB on bass and... Jesus, this is good. Some people say these lack resolution and sub bass, fortunately I can't say they have worse resolution than Aurvana, I only notice some lack of body on bass but tbh I don't care, I'm pleased even when listening bass focused EDM. My only complaint is comfort is not great, I get sore after 2 hours of listening, yeah, I know it can be solved buying a cheap headband and better pads, but if I do that, they would cost about the same as the Aurvana, so I just prefer using them when I'm not on my computer.

Linsoul QKZ x HBB: I though they sound as good as the others just more bassy, but after some days they sound like crap, even bass sound bad and no matter how I EQ them or which eartip I put on them, they just sound bad. I don't think they're broken or something, I just got used to Aurvana and Koss glory. I gave them as a gift to my sister who says they sound good (she also tried every headphone I bought).

So, I think Its a obvious thing to say due to the subreddit I am posting, that I absolutely love music, I love headphones, I love to stay hours on end everyday using headphones, with or without music, but...

As I had my first headphones, I stumbled across all the classic problems, breaking due to misuse, fucking up the wire, left or right side stopped working and yada yada yada... ...and well, I learned, I changed brands, I searched for weakspots innthe wiring, I started buying only those with the option of removable wires and etc etc etc. Even doing the "autopsy", everytime a headphone stopped working, hell, even fixing It some times(with varyinh success)...

But I think I just ran into a wall.

Its not the wiring as Its for most people, Its not one side randomly stopping to work.

No, Its the fucking structure now.

No matter what I do, no matter How much I take care of the thing, after a bit more than 3 months, something in the fucking structure gotta break, usually In the part closer to the speakers that usually have a articulation, and Its fucking outraging, cause, I dont use the articulation at all, so much I fear breaking It, only when I need to put on the box to carry It around that I bend the thing that was made to bend... ...hell, when I put in my head I do my best to make It so the most tension in the thing is when Its being worn, not while putting It(I notice some people really tension the thing, "opening It", to put in their heads), and to make matters worse, my newer headphone, a Philco one, that seemed absolutely robust, teached the 3 months mark and broke a piece inside the articulation, that couldn't possibly be the one taking the most of the tension...

In resume, I dont know what to do, I cant live without music but I am too young and cant possibly maintain such high spending with a single product, that I know by a fact that should survive way more than 3 months, in Average...

Pls help😭😭

I know that in the end it won’t really matter seeing as how they’re probably so similar but i really do wonder which to purchase. On one hand, the HD600 has more details in the audio. On the other, the HD650 has a warmer tone which I’ve heard makes it more fun to listen to, and a wider soundstage (not sure if this is true or not but it is what i heard). I’d like to hear your thoughts on this. I know how often it’s been talked about but this I’m left with the question

hi recently i got vertigo from overusing my earbuds/headphones and when this happened i took a 1 day break from them (i know thats a very short break but i really love using my earbuds) and after the 1 day i wasnt experiencing the vertigo anymore so i went back to using them again and the vertigo came back so now im wondering exactly how long should i wait to use my headphones/earbuds again to be completely in the clear from vertigo?
