Rules:

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.
Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.
5. Only recent news is allowed.
Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.
6. All posts must be news articles.
No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

That's very true, but all of their minds were made up about that years ago. I know the average person is fucking stupid as fuck, but I can't help but wonder how many people are still sitting on the fence when it comes to Trump.
It's good that he's going away for 22 years. However, the sentencing guidelines called for between 324 to 405 months (27-33 years) so by the Judge's own calculations this is a miscarriage of justice and yet another right wing domestic terrorist is being handled with kid gloves. Fucking disgraceful.

What's even better is him thinking he's not going to be in prison long because Trump is going to win the next election and pardon him. My brother, there's a greater chance of Trump becoming your cell mate.

Trump is a narcissist who cares about image and the cheers of crowds. If pardoning J6 traitors gets him that, he will do it.
It's true he doesn't give a damn about these people but they're useful for his scam. He's already said he'll pardon people and will continue to say it because it suits the narrative he's pushing and what his base wants to hear.
The problem is he is toxic and will only get more so as his legal issues turn into jail time so it's unlikely he'll win election. If he were smart he'd drop out and secure a pardon from a more electable GOP nominee in return for endorsement. But he won't. So it seems that these proud boy / oathkeeper idiots are likely to be spending a long time behind bars.

Meanwhile the US regularly executes people for a single murder.
Guys losing 1/3 of his adult life, and won't get out of prison before his 60s. I'm extremely anti-j6, but 22 years seems like a nice hefty sentance to me

I saw numerous videos where these guys went out of their to beat the living shit out of blm protestors (not rioters), while calling people antifa - who clearly weren’t, in broad daylight, and nothing happened to them. I can only imagine if I were one of their many victims, that seeing this would be give me some great pleasure. Especially since the “fuck around and find out” rallying call was the thing they said as the brutalized people who were simply protesting brutality.
