- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

Yup and then you have some random weirdo comes in and says, "yeah the GOP do this stuff, but the dems let them, so we should vote GOP to teach those dems."
I mean, those are just straight-up MAGA trolls. "Dobbs is Biden's fault because he was in office when it happened," that's a Republican writing that.
Worth remembering how much of this is ultimately a kind of kabuki. The federal bureaucracy is massive and the President has enormous unilateral authority, particularly during emergencies, to mobilize the national guard and start spending money without Congressional approval. And, to his credit, it appears Biden is doing a lot of this.
But the headlines fixate on the cost of relief rather than the actions of the emergency responders. Consequently, you get a bunch of noise about how Mike Johnson is haranguing people about the deficit and the debt ceiling and whatever other phony baloney excuse we're using not to pay the people doing the relief work.
This keeps people fixated on the budgeting/spending and ignorant of the real social need, whether or not it is being met.
That's what fascists do. They don't know how to be human beings.
I bet if another storm heads toward Louisiana they'll have a vote faster than you can say "Fucking Hypocrite!'
No they won't because Louisiana will vote GOP no matter what and they know it .

How many broken beer bottles does it take to help assholes in power stop being such assholes? I mean that in a respectful way but also rectally. Since I'm now older than some politicians, but not so old, it feels like we will never see a good government ever again. So it's easy to become a cynical about the whole circus show they put together.
